Not if you know that you're doing your best to behave yourself and learn your lessons so you can teach your children a better way than the one you learned from your parent's mistakes. Santa Claus is necessary. Reality is far too frightening. Religion as taught is also. Children need to 'make believe' that they can still live 'happily evey after' even if its just for now which is what they demand from their parents. It took me 56 years as a woman to understand what children truly need. What a roller coaster ride thru Hell, it was! Whew!! No more of that!!!

I don't know I still believe in Santa Claus. And stop saying he doesn't exist, that isn't very nice of you.

Now, then, what do I want for Christmas? -thinking-

Your question doesn't make sense. My child believed in Santa until he figured it out for himself. Religion wasn't a factor at all. Neither was fear.

Saint Nicholas is a saint of the Church. Your remark is offensive.
St. Nicholas of Myra (Also called NICHOLAS OF BARI) was bishop of Myra in Lycia and died 6 December, 345 or 352. He is one of the most popular saints in the Greek as well as the Latin Church. Some of the main points in his life are as follows: He was born at Parara, a city of Lycia in Asia Minor; in his youth he made a pilgrimage to Egypt and Palestine; shortly after his return he became Bishop of Myra; cast into prison during the persecution of Diocletian, he was released after the accession of Constantine, and was present at the Council of Nicaea. In 1087 Italian merchants stole his body at Myra, bringing it to Bari in Italy.

"They use fear and guilt to control the masses."

They try using fear and guilt to control the masses, along with false hopes and dreams of a man in the sky, that we cant see but a book says he is there so it must be true, loves us and wants us to have a perfect life, but if we don't listen he will make us BURN SCREAM AND CRY FOREVER!

well, if thats not love my friend then tell me what is.......

Anyone who believes there is fear in Christ should really try to understand Christianity. We are to fear God (be in awe of Him) but in Christ there is no fear. Why be afraid if there is a way out of sin.

Why don't you just accept that Santa Loves You? Can't you see he wants to bring you presents.

If you keep on behaving like this he will be forced to hit you with coal.
