I was visiting the city of lauderdale-by- the sea and received a parking meter fine for parking in reverse in a parking meter lot.
This sounds very bogus and have been looking for such laws with no suck to see if I'am guilty of the fine,
Sincerely,
A law abiding citizen in Christ alone,
Joe

A lot of municipalities have very strange laws. For example, in Toronto, you are forbidden to ride your horse or a horse-drawn carriage down Yonge St. (the most busiest street in the city) only on Sundays. I'd call up Lauderdale's city hall and ask around on the validity of your ticket. Also, in most municipalities now, you can pay online so you don't have to drive back to pay.

And I feel the need to point out that just because you're christian, doesn't mean you're law-biding. People violate laws all the time without knowing, regardless of race and creed. However, ignorance of the law is not an excuse. I have also put lots of christians through the justice system as well.

You probably missed the sign at the entrance. Many city controlled lots have this sign because people who back in to parking spaces hit the car behind them. I would suggest you just pay the ticket. Doubtful the ticket giver "made up" this law.

There may have been a sign at the entrance of the lot stating to head in only..if there is no law or ordinance..then you may be able to win in a court room.
