The heat from the blast would literally melt the sand to a glass substance. not like your window glass but still to a substance resembling glass.

properly your assumptions are slightly twisted up, yet that purely is going to tutor usa can not purely pass bombing human beings. First, usa can not purely pass bombing N.Korea on the grounds it fairly is S.Korea's call. S.Koreans are people who might lose tens of millions of people in the conflict. 2d, your assumption that China might shelter N.Korea is erroneous. China has already admitted that it helps a S.Korean led unification if the possibility arises. N.Korea is a discomfort in anybody's *** consisting of China. S.Korea makes China funds, N.Korea fees them. 0.33, usa will in all possibility bomb Iran. China and Russia may well be paid off to no longer get in contact. it somewhat is the foremost reason usa hasn't performed it yet, it would not choose to pay the fee. For Iraq, the U. S. gave Russia and China extensive no bid oil contracts. Pakistan will stand by using and watch as they have continuously performed. Pakistani governments are easily offered and that they are very reliable at suppressing the individuals. the U. S. will pay billions to Pakistan to maintain them in line. Over 10 billion in 7 years. that funds facilitates the U. S. to do in spite of the fact that they desire consisting of flying into Pakistan and aerial bombing it fairly is cities and killing 20 Pakistani civilians to perchance hit 2 or 3 Taliban insurgents.

Actual Nukes are less destructive and have more controlled power. within few miles, melted sand would ressemble something close to glass. Northern Iraq are full of montains with different geology and it would not have significative effect.
Why explode over the desert?
Explosion over those huge oilfields would cause what kind of collateral effect? It would burn or explode?

I think turning that much land into glass would require enough nuclear bombs so as to pollute the entire atmosphere of the earth with radiation. Also nuclear warheads are quite expensive and I don't much see the point of over-bombing a desert environment.

My husband is serving his second tour in Iraq, but comes home this weekend! Anyways, he's told me time and time again that he would just LOVE IT if America could just drop an A Bomb on them and just wipe them out. Sounds like a plan to me.
