Illegal acts are criminal. Breaking and entering is criminal. Using fraudulent identification is criminal. Organized crime is criminal -- so groups that support illegal immigration and assist illegal immigrants are criminal and in violation of Section 8 USC 1324 and 274A of the INA. Taking benefits and free education that you are not entitled to is criminal and therefore there is nothing regarding illegal aliens that is not criminal, including having anchor babies. Today's news stated that in 2006 the USA had the highest number of immigrants ever in the country -- 37.5 million. One in five people speak a different language. Because our laws have not been enforced, the illegal immigrant numbers are growing and we have no idea how many of these illegal immigrants are voting in our elections -- even though that, too, is illegal. After all, if they lie to get here, lie to stay here, use fraudulent identifications for everything else, why wouldn't they lie on voter registration information? 30 years ago, one in 10,000 people was diagnosed with cancer. Today one in 3 people will be diagnosed with cancer. We have been told that cancer is not contagious and yet we've gone from one in 10,000 to one in 3 who will have it. Failure to ensure safe foods, cleanliness, enforce the laws, inspect the cargos, and failure to investigate the true reasons for the advancement of cancer have allowed it to flourish. What is different about illegal immigration?

It is already a federal crime- which makes it pretty darn serious.
Once you are caught in the United States illegally you are barred from the United States for a minimum of 3 years.
You can also land in the pokey for 6 months.

If you reenter the country after being deported it is a felony and can land you some more time and another trip out of the country.
I don't know why they can't just enter legally like everyone else- I mean if they can pay some crook thousands to get here illegally it's not like they can't afford a visa. maybe it's because they won't pass the background checks or don't meet the qualifications for a visa- which in that case (if they have no education,no money and no real reason to be here) we don't want them here anyways- I mean who needs a bunch of illiterate broke people taking up valuable space.

Yes it is and our government has laws that would allow it. Unfortunately, we are 'too good hearted' for our own good as a country so the laws are not adhered to as they should be. That also poses other problems with thes aliens trying to picked for our social security benefits and health benefits, etc. but still, not much is being done about it. It will take a unity of the people of this country to ban together to get our representatives to 'take care of the rights of their own citizens' in order to make some changes I am afraid. We need petitions signed and representatives contacted about supporting them if they will push the laws to be kept. I suggest you go for it and make it happen. It may lead to you becoming a good representative for the people yourself.
