But.. i live in a caravan (a big 1 yes but its still not as big as a house) so would it be fair to let it stay in all day? and don't forget i live on a very secured site so my cat would be ok if it stayed on the site. Its very luxury (The site and the caravan) put it this way my mum and dad would of been in a better financial situation if they had bought a house! so should i let it out or not? what do you think? Thanx JESS x

they are looking out for your kitten. letting a kitten or cat outside could result in fights between other cats (which usually causes sever infections), getting caught by loose or stray dogs ( causing sever injuries or even death), getting poisoned or tortured by some sicko in the area that doesn't like cats, getting ran over by a vehicle, getting contagious disease from other animals. they just don't want you to go through the pain of losing your kitten or the financial burden of an injured or sick cat.

It partly depends on the environment. If there are dangers from traffic, mean children or other psychopaths, or other animals (stray or other cats, dogs, etc.) then it would be best to keep it inside, even in a small home.

But if you're in a rural area or have a very securely fenced yard, then it would be fine for your cat to be outdoors.

I would be sure to get it inside by nightfall, though, when the things that go bump in the night come out.

It all depends on the security of the outside. I live in a small apartment with two cats. I cannot let them out because there is a very busy road behind my building. I keep them busy inside by providing toys and a carpeted cat perch situated in front of a pair of silding glass doors. This keeps them mentally engaged is very important to combating depression.

There is absolutely no need to let cats outdoors. And it doesn't matter where you live, there is never a place secure enough to let a cat out on it's own.

Let your cat outside and you're in for a host of problems - other cats; cruel children; dogs; cars; etc....

How would you feel if you let her out and she didn't come back? Or she came back chewed up after being attacked by another cat or dog?

I'm not trying to scare you, but just telling you what's in store for your kitty if you let it out. I've seen horrible things done to cats at the shelter I volunteer at that you wouldn't want to see.

Yes definately wait until you get it spayed but it does depend on where you live! I live in the UK in the beautiful countryside where it woud be unfair to keep a cat in and the cats protection league won't home cats where they do not have outdoor access (unless special reasons eg a deaf cat). If it is a nice area and you get your cat used to its surroundings slowly then yes don't feel pressured into keeping your cat in. Having said that if i lived in a bad area i may change my views!

Buy a leash! Cats do learn and believe it or not she will get used to it! start slowly and just put it on her collar so she will get used to it do this inside the caravan. Slowly she will be OK with you holding it and before you know it she will be ready to go outside on it. It takes time be patient and soon you will be taking her for walks.

I would fix your cat first. You can't fix them until they are 3 to 6 months old depending on their health. That way you aren't getting it pregnant if it's a girl. A tom cat (un neutered male) will roam much further and get into all kinds of trouble. Boy or girl, if you fix them, they will stay closer to home. If not, I'm sure that it will find a way from your secure site to where it is not so safe.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. I have never seen a cat get hit by a car indoors, odds greatly increase whey they step out your door.

I think u should let your cat go out. But only let your cat out when it is about 1 year old, and if it loves u, your cat will surely come back, but i guess it loves u, so i think u shoudl let it out, because when my cat was little it always tried to get out. So let it out, i think it will love it!

A cat has to come out, it's a cats lifestile, thats what I think!:)

Don't let kitty out.....even if it's secured, your cat will get fleas....if it ingests the fleas, it will get worms....it's just one thing after another! And let's not forget, there are people that hate animals & would try to harm them.
