My doctor advised me to start taking broccoli extract. I have been, but the pills smell horrible (sort of like rotting garbage)and give me indigestion. Everytime I burp, i taste the the awfullness. I want to stop taking them, but i also want to see if they will benefit me the way my doctor says. Are there any pills that are odorless and/or tasteless? Anybody who has experience with this, i would love for you to convince me that this is a good thing, lol. Thanks!

I would just go back to your doctor and discuss the issues you have, with him. Maybe he knows an alternative.

Fresh broccolli cooked lightly is a best choice than the extract. Pills of these nature are for those who are basically lazy to eat fresh or never like vegetables by nature so swallowing pills is the only alternative. Broccoli are nutrient rich vegetables and are known to help in preventing cancer and hypertension. They are rich in vitamins A, C, calcium, folic acid and lots of fiber. Your doctor must have good reasons to recommend you the broccoli but taking the pills is your personal choice. More info at http://weightlossdietclub.com

are they expired or old? Are they low quality or a cheap brand? I know that both of these things can make fish oil capsules smell bad and give you nasty burps... so maybe the same is true with broccoli extract.

Why are you taking the extract?
Would adding broccoli to your diet remove the need for broccoli extract?

Why don't you ask your doctor which specific nutrient he wants you to GET from the extract and then find another food that provides THAT nutrient?

Why not eat fresh broccoli?
It will taste better, it's cheap, you can eat fresh or cooked, you will get more nutrients etc, etc, etc.

maybe you should talk to your doctor again and tell him the problems you are having with this pill. maybe he can give you another name or different supplement.
