Hi there. Sometimes the internet is the only place we feel safe asking some questions, isn't it? I know the feeling! lol
I can assure you your dog will no longer 'menstruate' once you have here spayed. Ask you vet or vet nurse for a full explination of the process - as they do vary from vet to vet.
Some remove 'everything' ie: the womb and the overies. As she will no longer have a womb, there will be no linig of the womb to be expelled (which is basically what the menstruation / heat is). Some vets only remove, or sever the tie to, the overies. Why this is the case, I don't know. Your vet will surley explain the differences and the reasons. IF this procedure is done, she would still have her womb, but as there are no eggs being released (as there will be no overies, or no connection between the ovaries and the womb), then there will be no menstrual cycle, no egg will be released into the womb, and the womb will not have to rid irtself of an unfertilized egg.
I hope this helps you visulise it a little better?
And I also would always advocate spaying.
Good luck - and remember, get to know your vet, makes everything far less confusing!

No. If you spay a female all the reproductive organs are removed. She will no longer have ovaries or a uterus. There for she will never again have estrus that would cause the bleeding.

No she won't still bleed, because she won't have any more heat cycles. That's only one advantage of having your dog fixed, whether it's a male or a female. It has many health advantages, like preventing certain cancers from forming. I think the best thing you can do for your dog, is to have it fixed!
