I find it interesting that so many ask where they have to live to get good acting jobs rather than what they have to do to becme good actors. So let us help them out by giving them a good list of acting classes or drama programs for crying out loud!

Carole Burnett went to UCLA (along with many others I might add. Cal State Northridge has a good program with many talented graduates.

Let's not forget USC Film School as well.

Actually, there are over 100 acting schools and workshops in the area. Any of you actors out there that can recommend some?

The answer to both is the same. The place with some of the best acting classes as well as a lot of the acting work is Los Angeles. Yes, the Universities here do have good programs, but also there are tons of stand alone classes here. I went to a place called The Acting Corps in north Hollywood,and they were fantastic. And it takes a lot less time and money then a degree that means nothing in the acting world (I know because I have one).
