I neither control it nor allow it to control me. It exists without my knowledge at times. I find that perseverance is needed to let it go. Humility is something to strive for, the flip side of pride. In giving self to self and to others, pride is relinquished. Neither controlled nor controlling. Mindfulness Compassion.

Control implies a battle, & I have learned that battling my ego actually feeds it. I try to just stay off the battlefield. When I am awake & in the observer position I can see it for what it is & do not confuse myself with it. But unfortunately, I am not awake 100% of the tim& in those times I am identified with it & there for act on it. It never feels good, it never gives me joy, & my pain tolerence has decrease with time & practice, so eventually the pain will wake me up & place me in my right mind again.

I would say that a vast majority of the time I control my ego, though I am in sync with it at this stage in my life. However, at times it does get the better of me, and usually doesn't turn out so well.

For me I think it depends on the situation.
I am sure most would like to say they control their Ego, but in my experiences, it is a two way street in your life.
Their are times where your Ego dictates your actions and your response and other times you control it. i believe most of us do both in our lives.
That is just my opinion of course.

I am in control of my ego. What I want is not often what I need.
And what I want to do when my ego gets bruised will usually not help the situation but make it worse.

Almost anyone who says "I control my ego" is so far out of touch with themselves, it's scary. Unless you're a supreme Buddhist master referred to as "enlightened" by those who actually KNOW what an ego is, then you do not control. Hell, stating you have control over it is your ego talking.
Someone who has control over their ego wouldn't suggest they have control over it.
