Politics. The chosen books were selected by a council appointed by the Roman Emperor to establish a uniform doctrine.

Book of the Covenant, Ex 24:4, 7, Book of the Wars of the Lord Num21:14, Book of Jasher Josh 10:13, Sam 1:18, A Book of Statues 1 Sam 10:25, Book of the Acts of Solomon 1 Kings 11:41, Book of Nathan and Gad I chron 29:29 2 chron 9:29) Sayings of the Seers 2 chron 33;19 An epistle of Paul to the Corinthians 1 cor 5;9 of Paul to the Ephesians Eph 3:3, of Paul to the Laodiceans Col 4:16, Epistle of Jude Jude 3 and prophecies of Enoch Jude 14. Enoch was such a great prophet wo took about 300 years to convert a very large population group, was successful, and the city of Enoch was taken to Heaven. That would have been a great book to read. Since Christ visited people throuough the world after his ressurection. I am sure there are many more missing books.

Actually they were all quite well known to the Church when the Church adopted the current Canon of Scripture in the 4th century. The Church rejected them then, and I still reject them now. I've read just about everything anybody ever proposed 'was hidden from the Bible,' and I can tell you most of them are as boring as old socks! And everyone I read was obviously in clear disagreement with the teaching of the Bible, and the Christian Church.

These books were really only 'lost' after the Fall or Rome (A.D. 476) and the destruction of the great Imperial Library, and the Provincial Libraries.

Because God did not want them to be included. God's divine word was written by his Chosen ones set aside.
Not that the lost books are evil or anything...They're just not including because they're not what He would have you have for your life. Meaning the message is not relevant with the Word God has for you. If you'll notice...the sequence of events in all of the stories all lead up to and Center on one thing. Jesus Christ.
That's the message (even the old prophets testified about)
That book is a book centering on God's love, his plan for Salvation, and redemption from sin.
Nothing more...nothing less. Because apparently that's the most you need to know in this life for your soul.
Everything in there is included that's vital for you to know to better develop your relationship with God.
Everything from the ten commandments to the story of Esther...to the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
And his plan never fails.

There has already been many books discovered such as the gnostic gospels that are not in the Bible. When we study these formerly "lost" books we identify clearly why these books were not included. These books are not historically accurate or they are not written by who they say they are written by. The early church fathers took great care in preserving those books that were authentic from apostolic origin. Plus I believe God has a major hand in ensuring this authentic as well.

The first-century Jewish historian Josephus shows the recognition given only to those few books (of the Hebrew canon) viewed as sacred, stating: “We do not possess myriads of inconsistent books, conflicting with each other. Our books, those which are justly accredited, are but two and twenty [the equivalent of the 39 books of the Hebrew Scriptures according to modern division], and contain the record of all time.” He thereafter clearly shows an awareness of the existence of Apocryphal books and their exclusion from the Hebrew canon by adding: “From Artaxerxes to our own time the complete history has been written, but has not been deemed worthy of equal credit with the earlier records, because of the failure of the exact succession of the prophets.”

There are no lost books in the Bible. The books you are referring to were declared heretical. Most of them are Gnostic writings. Contrary to many people's beliefs the church never destroyed them or hid them. They are available for anyone to read. They simply are books that promote heretical understandings of Jesus.

Some Books were not meant to be in the Bible - ie: Book of Enoch. He sinned against God, so his Book was not included. Others, the same thing.

Exodus 32:33
The LORD replied to Moses, "Whoever has sinned against me I will blot out of my book.

May God Bless all who respond in this forum and keep you in His Unfathomable Mercy. In the name of Jesus Christ, Our Lord, I pray. Amen

Because they are even more contradictory than what the bible says. They were omitted because they conflict with the religious beliefs that they are trying to push. They would help show that the whole basis for their religion is crap.
