I want something creative. I like the idea of having an initial for each child with a hook, but are those strong enough to hold wet bath towels?? If so, where do you buy those?? thanks.

Seems like, when I was young, we shared the towel.

You can get heavy duty hooks at any hardware store. The towels will dry better if you have three towels bars if you have room. What I did with my kids is color code their towels. My son knew his would be dark blue or red or dark green and my daughter had yellow, light blue or lavender. The colors DID vary as towels wore out but they always had three colors that were exclusively theirs.
PS it was written down and posted on the family bulletin board so there was not arguing about which color they had!

I am one of five. Three girls - one bedroom. We had to hang our towels in our bedroom - 1 hook on the back of the door; 1 hook on the closet door; and 1 hook on the wall. I would think if you want to hang them in the -damp- bathroom that any hook would work. Unless they soak the towels to weigh 20 pounds...you should search the web for decorative hooks. You may have luck searching for kids decorative hooks for the initials. Good luck!

Dont forget about the back of the door....on hooks......when the door is open...you dont see the towels.....
the plastic hooks can be found at any dollar store ...or wal-mart

also.....if that doesnt appeal to you.....how about a quilt rack?..........you could figure out a way to mimick something like that to mount onto the wall.
