Depends how old you are. Is it a first date? what about the cinema and then a few drinks. That way you dont need to talk to much at first and then if it feels ok go for a drink and a gab to to get know one another and the ice will be broken.

Assuming you trust the other person, go somewhere peaceful, beautiful, natural. The setting provides an atmosphere and vision of simple truth / reality. Take a picnic, do a bar BQ, spend some time. I think a good date would be for you to cook for that person. I know thats what my Guy did for me and I fell mor ein love with him because the fact thath etried so hard to make it a great night for me.
