Headaches could be due to a few things...

1. IImproper support from your pillow. Make sure your head is getting the proper support when you lie down.

The temperature of the room, will do it. Too Hot? Open a window, let some air in. You can also get headaches from your pillow, in conjunction with neck pain. When you tilt your head forward, does it hurt? Don't drink any alcholol before you got to bed, get at least 8 hours of sleep, or your nose may be clogging up at night. Use breathe right nasal strips, and Vicks vapor rub on your throat and chest. There are numerous things that can cause a slight headache.

Headache is among the most common medical complaints. Some of the reasons which cause headache are hypertension, over work, mental stress, indigestion, sleeplessness, fever, anemia, deficiency of oxygen in the blood, etc. Whenever a headache strikes drink lots of water .Lack of oxygen may have lead to your headache. Place a few ice-cubes in a polythene bag, and apply this on the forehead and temples. Check out http://useinfo-headache.blogspot.com/ for more info

Sometimes your sinuses pool while you sleep. Especially if it's cool (with an A/C on low or a ceiling fan). Try using an extra pillow under your head or putting a book or two under the legs of your bedframe on the end where your head is. This will elevate your head a little more & hopefully stop the headaches (if they are sinus related).

Hope it works!!! Good luck. I HATE waking up with a headache!

There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, WORRY, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation;
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment. I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.

Avoid late sleeping if possible;spicy, sour, stale bakery foods and alcohole.
Sweet foods, COCOANUT WATER,sweet fruits, milk, rice, SPROUTS, SALADS and good sleep will help you.
But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it isvery strong.
If it is acute pl search a painful point 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.

Could be several reasons. Sleep apnea, low blood sugar, grinding your teeth, not enough protein in your last meal. Only a doctor can diagnose and treat headaches. You should see one to rule out basic or serious problems.

My guess would be that you are suffereing a sinus problem. Try some moisturing spray. Something with saline. Don't go for the heavy duty sprays like Afrin. Too easy to become dependent on them.

Drink more water. Drink less milk and fruit juice, don't drink soda or eat ice cream or anything cold & icy. These can irritate your sinuses.
