When i was on a different plane, we had to pay like £2 for the loan of some headphones or £2 for a splitter thing which can be used on your own headphones!! Hope this helps!!!

No, you get them for free together with your fabulous socks, tooth brush and paste, pencils, notebook... They are quite good. I flew with them to JFK few years ago and I was impressed. My second favorite airlines after JAL. As you said very bling, bling!!!

On our flight to sydney from heathrow. the headphones were given out for free at the start of the journey . but you have to give them back before landing. this was also in economy.

In recent years airlines have been putting the regular jacks in the seats so that people may use their own instead of the airline giving them away or asking for them back. My last flight with Air Canada they gave everyone a set of head phones and said keep them for your next flight. because everybody just throws them away. We've use the earbuds from our MP3 players and the audio was better.
Just in case bring your own.
