Jackdaws by Ken Follett is an excellent read. It's a fictional story, based loosely on a few real people. My boyfriend groaned when he found out the main characters were a group of women spies, but it's not a girlie book. Don't know if it falls under your adventure category, but a great book none the less. Happy Reading!

How about a processor for digital camera images that can show facial structure for people wearing beards or wearing masks plus beards? When you point the camera to a potential terrorist you can have a clean image that you can compare to a standard clean-shaven face on a terrorist-watch data base. You can also identify people in rioting crowds even when their heads are covered and only their eyes are obvious.
