If they are on your eyelids, they are little collections of fat. They can be an indicator of cholesterol problems, so you should take a blood test for that.
If you mean right in the corner of your eyes, they are the tear ducts that normally drain the tears that constantly wash your eyes as you blink. They drain into the nose.
If the tear ducts become infected or blocked, then mucus can build up on them. Usually just wiping the eyes to remove it is enough but if there is an infection, your doctor may perscribe eye drops.

Eye gunk. I get them sometimes when I wake up in the morning. And when I have a high fever they build even more and gunkier. It's like snot.
