yes everything you want will be given to you ,that is why all muslims only want 72 virgins, and all christians want the pie in the sky and all hindus want to reincarnate all satanists want to reign in hell and all Jesus followers want to inherit the kingdom of heaven and all atheists want nothing at all

First of all I don't doubt that there's a higher power. And I feel that God (however you perceive God to be) has never given religion a name. To me it doesn't have to have name. Religion has more ethics and morals to it than rules (of which only us humans, over time, try to initiate but mostly out of ignorance).
There's no one religion that's right coz in the big picture, religion is religion. And religion seem to be the only thing that's its only kind. If God was so bad as to punish us for every rule that we break, nothing would be left on earth. And if God was such an angry God then yes, there would probably be one obvious religion that He grabs you at the throat by and say "THIS is the truth. Believe or go to hell." All my life I've only heard such things being said to me by other people of whom I believe heard it from other people too. I mean, you gotta hear something like that from God Himself to be totally convinced. But how often does that happen?
If every religion was right, everybody will be okay with 'where they belong'. But the problem is that everyone thinks their religion is right and they try to force it upon others. But the truth is, nobody will ever know coz where do their beliefs really stand on? Faith? Is it the blind type?
I believe that's why God gave us minds to think and question our faith. It's not about imposing on others what you believe, it's about what -you- believe and how much it fulfills you. Something that's between your Creator and you.
It's more about living our lives to the best that we can and not go against the nature that we have been created with. Like I mean, in the right mind you just can't avoid food when you're hungry and need to eat, or not breathe when you need it to stay alive, or not grow when your body's been programmed to grow, or not sleep when you need sleep. It's also about learning from mistakes, observing the good and bad things that take place in our lives and learning from the experience, to appreciate, to ask for help/guidance when you need it, and just be human.
Whether you believe in God or not, it's still in some way a belief. How would anyone know they're right? Still comes down to the same thing. I would prefer to just move on with life the way I know and understand I'm supposed to and not hesitate when doors are being opened to me.
I'm already given a life to live, might as well live it well and see what happens. I didn't ask to be alive. I certainly didn't ask to be put into a situation where I'm supposed to believe in one religion and say that it's right. There's gotta be more to life than that.

The only 'religion' that is right is the one that you have personally between yourself and God. It's found in the soul, not in a building. I call it spirituality.
All paths diverge to the same place and that is heavenward.
If a soul chooses not to believe in God, then he could suffer eternal separation from God, which is death of the soul. I do feel that some of these good, non-believing souls will have another chance on the mansion worlds. It's kind of hard NOT to believe if you're there.

I believe that many religions can be right, and that practically all religions can be at least partially right. However, it's impossible for all religions to be entirely right, because there are some clear contraditions. Christianity is very clear about there only being one god, which is in opposition to polytheistic religions. Now, it's possible that the polytheistic gods exist and the Christian God exists, but he would be one among many, not the only god, which is contrary to Christian teaching.

The problem is that almost every religion also claims that the rest are false and lead to hell. So if just belief is what matters, then what happens when a person of one religion believes that another religion will Go to hell.

ED said it best!
it can't happen, i am a Christian so I will try and give an unbiased answer.
its not possible,
My Bibles says, unsaved persons will go to hell, that said, Jonny believes in reincarnation, he believes he will came back as a horse, so him believing that he doesn't believe he must be saved therfore he isn't, my Bible says he will go to hell and burn for eternity, although he beleives he will be a horse, this is a very complicated question to answer so I want to thabk you for making me think :)
another example
Catholics from what i heard believe they go to pergatory and then wait until the rapture, i dont believe the believe you must be saved, they think the more you give the church and the more you go to church the better chances you have in getting into heaven, so if we combine the two, Catholics believe they wait in purgatory and are unsaved the rapture comes and they go to hell because they aren't saved,.
This is a very complicated question. I don't believe all religions can be right. I beleive that God sent his son Jesus to die for my sins and on the third day he rose again. God gave you the free will to think for yourself even though it may lead you to hell.
very interesting question though, but it cant work! God Bless

if all other "religions" are right, then Jesus died in vain, and He did not die in vain. No when Jesus said- "I am the way the truth and the life" that is exactly what He is!!!!!!!! Also Jesus, is no longer died- He has risen!! He is the only leader of a "religion" that actually can claim that. And by the way, I do not like the word religion. Many other religions may say that you can get to God through any means you choose- however God is God, and so when you look at it that way- we have to get to Him , His way, not ours- and that is by admitting we are sinners. We want religion to suit us, instead of given our lives to the One that gave His life for us.

They Are. We are All One. As part of the Oneness there is no right or wrong, there just IS. As the Dalai Lama has stated:
"I see all the different religious traditions as paths for the development of inner peace, which is the true foundation of world peace. These ancient traditions come to us as a gift from our common past. Will we continue to cherish it as a gift and hand it over the the future generations as a legacy of our shared desire for peace?
-His Holiness the Dalai Lama"
It's too bad that people are in charge of religion, not their Deity. That is an opinionated statement, part of my contribution to the Oneness.

Religion has been defined in a wide variety of ways. Most definitions attempt to find a balance somewhere between overly sharp definition and meaningless generalities. Some sources have tried to use formalistic, doctrinal definitions while others have emphasized experiential, emotive, intuitive, valuational and ethical factors.
Sociologists and anthropologists tend to see religion as an abstract set of ideas, values, or experiences developed as part of a cultural matrix. For example, in Lindbeck's Nature of Doctrine, religion does not refer to belief in "God" or a transcendent Absolute. Instead, Lindbeck defines religion as, "a kind of cultural and/or linguistic framework or medium that shapes the entirety of life and thought… it is similar to an idiom that makes possible the description of realities, the formulation of beliefs, and the experiencing of inner attitudes, feelings, and sentiments.”[4] According to this definition, religion refers to one's primary worldview and how this dictates one's thoughts and actions.
Other religious scholars have put forward a definition of religion that avoids the reductionism of the various sociological and psychological disciplines that reduce religion to its component factors. Religion may be defined as the presence of a belief in the sacred or the holy. For example Rudolf Otto's "The Idea of the Holy," formulated in 1917, defines the essence of religious awareness as awe, a unique blend of fear and fascination before the divine. Friedrich Schleiermacher in the late 18th century defined religion as a "feeling of absolute dependence."

Lilly,
This would also make every Religion "wrong". The BIBLE says that "GOD can not lie". It also says that "there is only one gospel". That leaves room for no other. Thus if another existed then our GOD would have lied and it would be false. Judaism says that CHRIST is NOT the savior of their people. If Christianity exists then they are wrong and Judaism is wrong. Do you see what I mean? The Koran says that CHRIST was not the savior but a prophet. This would also make Christianity a lie because CHRIST would not have arisen from the dead as our Apostles said HE did. I am afraid that you will have to find the TRUE WORD of GOD and follow it as we have. If I may be of assistance, please let me know. Have a wonderful day and a glorious week.
Thank YOU,
Eds
EDIT... I did not go on to other religious beliefs but I hope you see what I meant. I stopped after the three that I knew the most about.
CKRUG,
Great answer! This reference did not come to mind.
Thanks...
