sometimes diet and exercise don't work and ur still left with a load of excess or redundant skin despite ur best efforts.having a tummy tuck is a big operation and should not be undertaken lightly. u should have been briefed by ur surgeon beforehand about the risks etc . the best thing to remember is not to rush ur recovery. u will be sore (but not too bad),unable to walk upright for some days (and neither should u even if someone tells u to stand up straight!) . u should avoid any heavy lifting or bending and certainly avoid the housework for at least 3 months if u can!!!!dressings should be left intact and dry until 1st follow up appointment if possible altho there may be oozing onto the dressings which is perfectly normal.legs should be flexed on several pillows when ur at rest to avoid unnecessary strain on the tummy muscles ,a corset is usually worn for several weeks after to help shape and support you too. have lots of magazines handy while u recuperate on the settee!!! hope it all goes well xx

Go For It! Congratulations and good luck. Ignore the haters, sometimes all the excercise in the world wont help, I've come to the conclusion that no matter what you will get comments from people who dont have the same problems with the appearance of their stomach ( like loose skin) and they think a crunch is a cure all. Enjoy that new belly!

I had one done about 4 years ago and I'd do it again in a second. Best money I ever spent!!! For me, It was very hard to stand up straight right after the surgery and for quite a few days. I would walk hunched over, and getting into the car after your surgery will be a struggle. But, the pain for me was bearable, if you load up on pain med's (I just took Advil) Make sure to walk around as much as possible after surgery even though you probably won't feel like it. Good luck!!!

Tummy tuck surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Tour2india4health Consultants .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.
Tour2india4health Consultants is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.
