plz help i m still 16 the doctor told me to take this medicine for 2 weeks becoz i m feeling dizzy becoz of stress . and zoloft wasnt working on me. so i wanna know if is it worth takin it i m still young to take those medicine espicially if its addictive . do u know if this medicine is addictive or does it calm the nerves???!!! :(

Of course, it "calms the nerves" since the medication is used for anxiety. If you are only going to be taking it for 2 weeks, there is no danger of becoming dependent on it....that requires a much longer period of time.

If your stress is causing you to be dizzy, then take the medication. Your doctor is only trying to help you. If you do not trust your doctor enough to help you, then maybe you need to find a doctor that you do trust. When it comes to our health, we need to trust our doctor or we are defeating the purpose of paying for an office visit.

Also, if you find that stress becomes a constant problem for you and it starts to control your life, you might want to seek some counseling. You are young and don't want to spend the rest of your life suffering from anxiety.
