Bruce Lee is not over rated. Did you know in the movie "In the dragons nest" they had to film a scene in slow motion so the viewers could see what he did.

Frank Dux was an utter fraud, and judging by your other questions you gotta be a troll to the 10th degree. But you will rile some people up and that should be funny.

Bruce Lee: To some degree he is overrated, to some degree not. He had great principles and sound strategy. He was unproven somewhat though, as any of his fights are essentially in the realm of mythology and lore, and hard to seperate the fact from fiction (or from general embellishment by people in his camp). He had no recorded fights, so his ability is someone based on sheer faith alone.

However he studied many different styles, had amazing strength and conditioning, was fast, strong, and agile. So he had essentially every single tool in the toolbox to be a great fighter, and chances are he probably was, it just isn't known. A lot of people who trained with him are now considered the real deal like Dan Inosanto, and they pretty much claim he was the man, so you have to lean towards him being a bad ***.

Greatest "Fighter" of all time? Not really known, he had no proven fights.

Greatest "Martial Artist" of all time: Again, like Beatchanter said, there are a lot of guys. Bruce Lee has to be in the top 5 though, for his sheer influence alone.

Well good luck getting them riled up... I'll sit back and watch the flames..... LOL Frank Dux... man that is a good one...

Who do I think the best ever was? Best ever fighter? Not sure, unnarmed Fedor would be pretty high up there, Mas Oyama for sheer reputation alone, KImura, definately.

Armed? Audie Murphy probably, Musashi is up there, the Spartans, The Romans, The Greeks, hell the U.S. Army and Marine Corps. Hard to say, all that stuff is just guesswork anyway.

most people in mma consider fedor emelienenko the best fighter in the world and perhaps ever. look van dam never competed, frank dukes doesn't have a ground game, and lee trained very little on the ground. Martial Arts has evolved more in the last 10 years than it has in the last 100 or probably longer than that. We now know what really works in real life situations and the concensus in mma is wrestling, boxing, kickboxing, and submissions

first of all, it would not be an unarmed fighter.

not counting pure technology and WMD's or vehicles of war.

ANY of these people would take out all the other people everyone else mentioned ALL AT ONCE.

When bruce lee has killed 700 people in a combat zone, then we can talk. Until then no actor, or even cage fighter has the right to call themselves the "best" fighter. they might be able to call themselves the best "unarmed" martial artist, but not the best ever.

Additionally "old west" heroes and outlaws like john henry hardin, wild bill hickock and jhon henry holiday would also be without question better warriors than bruce lee, chuck norris, jet li, frank dux (or frauds like him) or any other movie actor or real unarmed martial artist.

bieng the "best" also includes choosing the most effective weapon and tools to fight with. Its fedor's responsiblity that he didn't even bring a knife to a gun fight. If he gets his head blown off thats his fault for being ill prepared and putting himself at a disadvantage.

Certainly neither of them were the best there ever was. These people tend to be heavily overrated or underrated. Their careers are like pendulums. Once someone finds the kink in their armor, and there are always kinks in armors, they tend to overegagerate that too. It's either Bruce Lee is a god, or a bum. The truth lies inbetween. He was a good Wing Chun practitioner who had some excellent ideas about fighting and is one of the most famous examples of taking ideas from other styles, incorporating them into his own personal fighting method, and creating something new. (Boxing, Wrestling, Judo, etc) But if there weren't any other martial artists in history who ever did that, there wouldn't be styles, but just style.

Bruce Lee was in the best physical condition that anyone in any sport can be in.

As far as him being a great Wing Chun Practitioner, I may be wrong but I thought I read or heard that he did not learn too much Wing Chun. His personality was not appreciated, some saying he was not a suitable student. Some said he was abrasive and arrogant.

He is not here to defend himself, no pun intended, but if you see some of the video on him, at least to me, he does not look impressive.

This is my opinion according to what I have heard and his video speaks volumes to me at least.

Until I started studying martial arts, I thought he was the world. But that was over 32 years ago.

I know who Frank Dux is, but I don't know anything about his background.

The best ever could have been some guy 1000's of years ago, this is something that is subjective to opinion. There is no best ever and it is not important for their to be a best ever. As far as weapons, fighting, lifestyle, philosophy, conditioning, innovating, movies, books, fame Bruce Lee is the greatest we have known

who or what makes some one the best ever. There is no way to determine something like that. That said however one should not underestimate Bruce lee. He was an extra ordinary martial artist. The sheer speed of the man was near to incredible. There's more than one scene from his movies where you have to set the movie in to slow motion to clearly see what is going on. He was able to stand above the styles he mastered and fuse them into a style of his own. As to people claiming that he had no real fight credit. In the days before his tv and movie carreer he is known to have engaged in more than one street fight. Specially due to his decision as to initiate non chinese in learning kung fu. He got into manier fight because of it but stould his man just fine

Bruce Lee is the best! If UFC was around in his prime, he would have scraped. There is no way he is over rated. He had to slow his moves down for the camera to catch them in his movies. He's a p.i.m.p.!!
