The God of Israel is called Jehovah or Yahweh. He is the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob--the forefathers of the Israelites.
The following verses in the Holy Bible state that He is the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob: Genesis 31:53; 32:9; Exodus 3:6, 15, 16; 4:5; 6:3; Matthew 22:32; Luke 20:37; Acts 3:13; 7:32.
Where did you get that Jacob was a "wicked" man? Please show verses in the Bible that say so. Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and the prophets are now in the kingdom of God (Luke 13:28). If Jacob was a "wicked", do you think God would allow him into His kingdom?

Abraham is considered the father of the faithful. When people talk about the God of Jacob they talk about a god who will exercise choice (passing over Esua in favor of Jacob) and patience. Through Jacob God showed both power and grace.
Jacob may be more like the rest of us that many of us will admit. He had some bad characteristics but he had some very good ones as well.

no, Jacob most certainly was NOT a wicked man. you are sadly mistaken.
God Himself changed Jacob's name to Israel. YHWH was the God that Abel, Noah, Abraham, Melchizedek, Isaac, Jacob (Israel), and the 12 sons of Israel worshiped.
YHWH is also the One True God who Jesus spoke of when he said,"I am going my way to my God, and your God, and to my Father, and your Father."
The very fact alone that YHWH God Almighty chose to call Himself God of the 12 combined tribes descended from Israel PROVES that Jacob was a very righteous man indeed.

The LORD said, "I am the God of your fathers; the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.
Jacob was a usurper, but when he was confronted with the real test of life, he wrestled with God, and God won. God changed his heart when he finally submitted to God. That is when God changed Jacob's name to Israel, just as God changed Abram's name to Abraham.
This shows that when God makes a promise, it's based on HIS word, not how well we do, or what we do.

"God" wasn't known as the god of Israel until Israel became a nation in the days of David or Solomon. But, yes, he is often referred to as the god of Abraham.

There's only one God on the universe. The God you're refering to is one and the same.

Hold on - where did you get the idea that Jacob was "wicked"? I'd dispute your premise.
