The Diggers used to hand out free food they had scrounged from restaurants and grocery stores that would otherwise have been thrown out. We used to get a barrel of slightly stale bagels from the House of Bagels every day. Whatever happened to them? And remember the Diggers Free Store in New York? Piles of old clothes that you could just paw through and may find something that would fit you.

Were you a Digger when you were young?

I even have some sympathy along with your concept. on the different hand, all of us prefer the superb for our infants and the superb contains economic stability. Ditch diggers do in simple terms no longer earn plenty. they certainly have a no longer ordinary job, out interior the chilly and rain. Or baking sunlight. could no longer we invent machines to do the trench digging job? i comprehend i grow to be so disenchanted whilst my son advised me he had to be a marine biologist. I knew he wasn't as much because it. I bear in ideas very almost coming to blows here with a woman who mentioned that girls have been inspired to pass to college on an identical time as boys have been inspired to have blue collar jobs. In my adventure, it grow to be any opposite direction around. females have been allowed to be hairdressers on an identical time as boys ... there have been and are no apprenticeships attainable. we don't fee the blue collar worker adequate and we pay the white collar worker too plenty.
