Did I get the right information? The funding has been denied from our Senators? It seems real funny to me that until yesterday Hillary and Osama didn't even breath an opinion on the subject. Now they realize how p*ssed the Americans were and all of a sudden they are against it. I see it as a saftey issue and they see it as political gain... What's your opinion?

It is most definitely a safety issue, and it would be one of the biggest security threats this nation would face, since less than 20% of the vehicles that came through would be subject to thorough safety or cargo checks. Even now there are mandates from the Border Patrol at checkpoints into the US to lessen inspections of vehicles and contents at the El Paso entry point, based on wait times at the Port OF Entry. So in order to lessen waiting times for entry they are going to not inspect vehicles or passengers, how ridiculous it that?My personal opinion is that you do 100% of the checks necessary, and I don't care if wait times are 1 year in line at the border. But I guess convenience is more important than the safety and security of our country.

Don't know about Obama because he is too new. It does not surprise me about Hillary. She and her husband were all over the map when in power.

During the first two years the Clintons were Socialists because both houses of Congress were in control by the liberal Democrats. When the 1994 election changed things and the Repulicans were the majority, Sir Hillary and Bill put their finger up to the wind and started moving toward the middle.

One can argue they were just reflecting the political beliefs at the time. My take is neither have a core belief and will even hurt the country, depending upon the majority of opinion.

For years the majority opinion believed Blacks were not entitled to many of the things other citizens took for granted. Bill and Hillary a just a symptom of the current ignorance of not knowing that the country is a Constitutionally limited republic, not a democracy.

Safety. In the Northeast we see this all the time with Canadian truckers.

It's good to see the Senate react to public opinion - almost like a representative democracy.

2 More Senators are moving to stop the funding but it is still happening.

Ron Paul has been against this from the start, good to see there may be some hope to stop it.

Politicians DO listen to what the people are saying if enough of us say it. Would you expect Clinton to say something that voters overwhelmingly disapprove of? Not that she will deliver, she just changes her story with each new audience. The illegal thing is ours! We have the pols attention and they know we are p*ssed!

Congress has always been against it - the DOT carried forward anyway. We can't vote them out.

maybe the dynamite laden truck that blew up in Northern Mexico and killed 34 people this week had something to do with it?
