and they express their opinion to you in a sincere and helpful manner, giving that answer the thumbs down is a disrespectful way of indicating disagreement. How do you justify doing that? Without seeing the original question, it may not have been the asker who gave you the 'thumbs down'.
There are loads of people on this site who don't ask or answer much, but who spend a lot of time rating questions and answers, and it could have been one of those.
Or you may have a troll following you around, giving thumbs down (we've all had at least one, lol).
Have you had a clash with that person before? If not, give them the benefit of the doubt if you can :-)

One thing you can not tell is who gave you the thumbs down. Could be anybody. Just have to brace yourself when giving answers.
