Difficult to answer. You just "know". You've heard of "gut reaction?". When you're not doing the right thing, you get a sinking feeling in your gut and you can't get rid of it.

"All I know is what feels right to me. " That's where the compass points to for most people. Just a feeling. But a feeling has no moral authority over us. So we do what we feel like doing and then congratulate ourselves.

Gods word is my moral compass and I know It's right. Before I came to know him my compass was spinning in all directions and completely out of control. Now it is pointing steadfast in one direction and my life has done a complete turnaround because I know He is guiding me.I trust in him and he has NEVER lied to me or anyone else.

My compass has been out of whack for a very long time! LOL
But never my morals, because my parents taught and drilled into our heads at a very young age to honour, respect and value people, place and things. That for sure is always in good standing direction. ;-)

I hope so. I think so. I care about others and I help others. I live a happy life and try to make decisions that are a benefit to both others and myself. I care about the ones I love and try to respect those I know care for me. I try to be tolerant and as trusting as I can be in our modern world.
I guess I don't know for sure if it is pointing in the right direction but I sure hope it is and I try with my actions to keep it pointing that way (but know sometimes it veers off course)

I look myself in the mirror every morning and like what I see. I can always feel when my "moral compass" is swaying and I quickly and quietly correct it.
