Some people are just gullible enough to believe whatever pap you feed them. It seems lately than an inordinately large percentage of Junior fans fall into that category.

You know, for about 5 seconds I understood why people were saying its not sabotage because Theresa doesn't build the engines herself, but if in other sports don’t we call for a new gm or head coach if our team does badly? He’s not the one throwing the ball, or not making his blocks but they put the players on the field that didn’t make the play. Here we have something very close to the same thing. We have a team owner that hates her stepson will do anything to see him fail no matter how bad it looks on DEI because this is no longer business its personal. We have to think who has the final decision on what engines go in what cars, what crew builds these engines, what parts are available to build them with, and how much time the equipment is used to test each engine.......... well the final answer is Theresa The 1 car runs in the top of the field a lot even coming from the back a few times and I don’t seem to remember 4 blown engines in the 1 car, I haven’t heard a blown engine in the 15 car this yr either so tell me why JR has had 4 blown engines. Theresa has been out for JR this whole yr she wont let him have the 8 because it means too much to DEI. What does it mean to DEI except its jr. other than jr it hasn’t been used by one driver for more than a yr since 1983 - 1990 when Bobby Hillin Jr used it. So it shows that long as its not jr in the 8 she is happy. Just as long as its not jr in the winners circle she is happy. She is going to run the good DEI name that she thinks she helped build into the ground. she knows nothing more about nascar than how to cash their checks and spend the money, just look how the team has done since sr left us and this fact is proved. (and b4 you rookies jump on that sr didnt drive for DEI so his driving record didnt effect DEI) I just hope her giving him bad supplies don’t break him down at the wrong time and it ends up hurting anyone besides her.

I agree that its probably not sabotage. She gets money for him running well too. More likely he is now driving their R&D car and they are trying different stuff. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. Whatever they have changed lately doesnt seem to work and when it does they can't get it to last the entire race.
Someone actually suggested Jr is driving too hard? Dude its a race car. You are supposed to drive it hard.
Jr isnt has dad but he is still a good driver and DEI is not the quality team it once was. He won 2 Busch championships and 17 cup races. His cup stats are similar to Kurt Busch and Matt Kenseth except for the championship. Next year he will be on a better team with better equipment and his results will show that. Will he win championships? I don't know. I think we will see the Jr of old where he is capable of being in the top 5 every year. At that point the rest is just luck either good or bad.

There could be all kinds of possibilities. The best thing to do is for everyone to just drop this subject so there will be no more silly conversations over it. Every time someone asks these questions someone always get mad regardless of if it's the person asking or the person answering. People will have different opinions and when someone asks this type of question they need to brace themselves for a little disappointment. When asking questions people should ask a question that actually requires knowledge from the answerer than a question that requires a personal opinion or not ask a question that basically makes a statement.
Your question really isn't a question but it's more of a statement. Some might see it as a rant. Sorry about the difference of opinion. But as far as to your question/statement nobody really knows for sure what the true details are. All anyone know is the engines are blowing that's it.

I AGREE it is just hogwash talking about these sabotage rumors. Just the Jr. fans way of crying because he didnt make the race. These should be cheering for Truex Jr. He had the same equipment--engines and resources and he has won a race and is in the chase. IT IS SICKENING!!!!!

Well my opinion is something isn't right, i mean really, 6-7 engines? JR is a fantastic driver and yes he is going to drive hard ( after all isn't that part of racing ). I am not saying Theressa is to blame, and i will be the first to say, i don't like her. She in my opinion is a greedy woman and she should have let JR have more power within DEI. And i am sure Earnhart SR would not like how she handled the whole situation. And i can also guarantee he wanted his children to have DEI and she shouldn't be the one who owns the company. And yes i am a JR fan and have been for years. I hope he wins big next year and i hope Theresa eats her heart out>>>And she wouldn't even let him carry his #8 with him? That is just mean and spiteful. I see alot of good things commming to JR next season. And that, is my opionion and everyone has one

Don't think Theresa has anything to do with the engine problems. The guys that built them do! And no Jr. isn't driving his car to hard, that's what these engines are built for.He is a great driver ! He doesn't work or built the engines his crew does, their NOT good enough.

DEI has struggled with the unleaded fuel ever since the switch. That is the problem. DEI motors stink... all of them, not just Jr's. He's just been pushing a little harder than the others. It's gonna be hard for DEI next year without a top caliber driver to fill the #8 on a full-time basis. I know Mark Martin is in the car, but so is Aric Armadillo or whatever the heck his name is. I mean, c'mon who the heck is Aric Armadillo anyway?

Because they aren't real race fans. They have no idea half the time what they are talking about.

actually, if you check your facts instead of talking out of your *ss, you'd know he was in the chase last year. and no matter how good a driver is, if they blow 5 engines in the last 10 races heading into the chase (and he was running in the top 5 in all 5 races buy the way), they're not going to make it. you junior haters can talk all the sh*t you want, but the fact is, only 3 drivers have won more races than junior since his rookie year in 2000. jeff gordon, jimmie johnson, and tony stewart. and all 3 of them are in far superior equipment.
and speaking of inventing stuff that doesn't make sense, for you or any other moron on here to suggest that junior is blowing engines because he's pushing the car too hard, is just showing your ignorance. you're making it painfully ovious that you know nothing about engines or racing.
