The christian God required animal sacrifices in the old testament, BLOOD, and he was pleased with burnt offerings.
(READ THE BIBLE IS ALL THERE)
Then in the new testament he decided to kill himself, to show his love, ONLY TROUGH BLOOD HE COULD FORGIVE, IN HIS IMMENSE POWER NOTHING ELSE COULD WORK, IT HAD TO BE BLOOD!!!!
After he killed himself, he forgive us of our sins, however , and here is the catch, you need to BELIEVE in this nonsense, if you do not believe you will be sent in a hell, to suffer , for all eternity.
BUT REMEMBER he loves you!!!! there is nothing he can do, you must accept this belief or get tortured!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ahh, Christianity is so logic, it makes so much sense!!
How can you not see that?

Well said.
They claim that we have free will given to us by god. But this free will is the freedom to love and worship him, or go to hell. No other option exists. This isn't free will, it's slavery.
And I for one will never be a slave.

I understand that you have a strong belief in God, and that is wonderful for you.
People commit suicide everyday, and in letters, some of them state the world will be better without them. People have, for centuries obtained followers and sacrificed their lives for them. This is history. Jesus just made it in the Bible. What of all the other so called prophets that claimed to be the messiah? Why was Jesus so special that he made it in?
The problem I have with religion, and I've lived a Christian life before, is that most, not all, Christians refused to listen to reason and read only one book and understand only one religious belief. I believe that all religions hold validity in that religion gives people the conscience they need to be better people, for the most part. For some, if it weren't for the ultimate prize/ultimate punishment, they would not live the lives they do. For others, it is a wholehearted belief.
As a non-believer, I respect the beliefs of Christians, but I also respect other religions as well. Maybe if Christians could agree, more people would be willing to join up. Maybe if more Christians would learn things that aren't in Bible, more Christians would become atheists.
I came from a life where I was a firm believer in God. I lived the life everyday. I didn't swear, drink, smoke. I was a good Christian. It wasn't until I met my best friend who happens to be gay that I realized that I had been taught hatred all of my life. He was the most honest, caring person I had ever met, yet my loving, caring, benevolent God was going to send him to hell. Many members of my church were gossips, yet because I believed that theirs was a voice of concern, I never noticed that they were being vindictive and hateful. Most churches argue over what color the choir robes should be. Most religions disagree with other religions, and I ask you: if all of you believe in the same God, the same Jesus, then why can't you all get along? Why is it that God is speaking to every religion but not saying the same thing? If God is never changing, why is he so different accross this vast world?
What science is able to prove through study, Christianity seems to ignore because it is opposed to the Bible. This is why our most intelligent people are typically atheists. They can't deal in absolutes.
In closing, it's not about being blind at all. It's about being willing to open our eyes to all of the information that is out there, being able to accept that we are all fallible and not being willing to accept blindly what is only one book whatever that book may be.

Oh, I understand your sarcasm alright.
I totally see what you are trying to point out here. I mean, have you read the gospels? You can have even more fun trying to find logic in the supposed "parables" of Jesus.
Sometimes, He calls himself the "Bridegroom", at other times he calls his disciples "new wine". At another place he says, that the kingdom of god is like "yeast hidden by a woman in three measures of flour." Sometimes, he calls himself the "bread of life" and asks us to eat of him.
Man! Who can make sense out of all that?
Friendly advice: Take a crash course in literary techniques such as allegory and metaphors. Also, spend some time studying history, kabbalah, and other prevalent belief systems around the time of Jesus's birth.
Also, Bible is not supposed to be read the way you are reading it. The reason that the Bible has been seperated into two sections (the new testament and the old testament) is because the coming of Jesus and his philosophy (yes, I call it "philosophy") marked a big change in the social values/beliefs in those parts of the world.

What is that God which is a father to all yet he likes his children to be killed in order to please himself.
According to Buddha :
Devil is the creator
Devil is the destroyer
Devil is the cause of diseases
This is logical as we see that in the world one creature is eating another creature. Big fish eating small one. Violence is inherently built in the nature and if this natural world is created by someone then that someone must be a sadistic fellow.
Dont believe , watch nature channels NatGeo et al.

Ah, yes... he required the blood sacrifice of his son/self... to APPEASE HIMSELF. OK... I get it now... that makes perfect sense. Where do I sign up?
OK... so now that I understand this, I believe that a (fictional) cosmic Jewish zombie, who is his own father, can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him that you accept him as your master so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced, by a talking snake with legs, to eat from a magical tree... (etc.)... and that there is something horribly wrong with people who ARE NOT so gullible and droolingly stupid as to believe such outrageously ridiculous codswallop.
Hallalujah... I'm SAVED.

I'm just different to you, that's ok.
I know it feels completely wrong for you to see us doing something different to you, but please keep your beliefs to yourself. Are you so arrogant to believe you are the only person who has a beliefs they want to stick to?
I have my own personal guide which is probably similar to what your have learned from the bible. But I'm an atheist.

Hey, live and let live.
I'm a Christian, and that's my own choice based on what I know and what I've gone through in life - but you can't force anyone into believing anything. God gave us free will, and that's an undeniable fact. I know, you might be frustrated that more people don't see things the way you do - but be patient. In the end, you'll see your beliefs come to pass (just as everyone will when they die..).
Just live what you believe, and don't get so focussed on trying to win people over that you lose sight of what really matters in life.

Some of us are confident in our own understanding of life. We can allow others to believe as they wish.
Life can be awesome for everyone....eventually.
I find christians to be good and loving people in spite of the dogma they embrace.

It sounds a bit forced, you need a little bit more practice, if you're really trying to pass as a fundy, try not to emphasize blood, you should reemphasize words like FOR YOU!!, GREAT, THE LORD, JEEBUS(^_^), etc
Edit
Yes i know, but fundies love to use those words, and sometimes fundie rhetoric is even funnier than some attempts to imitate it.
Like when they say "you are a godless spawn of satan" followed by "you are going to burn in HELL" followed by "And remember that JESUS LOVES YOU!!"
