My husband is likely to be offered a job there and before he can accept we need to find out about schools. We have 3 boys aged 6 , 8 and 15 and I am concerned about their education and the cost implications as I think you need to pay for public ( state ) schools and don't know how much this would be. Any other information on moving to Australia would be greatly appreciated as I feel excited but nervous about such a massive decision and don't really know where to start as he doesn't yet know where he will be based, although it is likely to be one of the main cities. My eldest son would be taking his exams this yr, he is not particularly interested in higher education - is he likely to be able to learn a trade quite easily ?

It relatively varies amongst faculties. I attended Catholic college from preschool to eighth grade (1993-2005, to deliver you an notion of while this used to be; college charges could also be exclusive now or someday), and I think it used to be round $2500 a 12 months; nonetheless, this used to be in a small the town in Illinois, and it might also fluctuate through area. The high-quality of the college may be some thing to don't forget; verify out the college (and don't forget elements like whether or not they've nuns or consistent lecturers, as matters like that may make a change within the fee) and spot if it sort of feels valued at it to pay nonetheless a lot it charges. Catholic college is commonly relatively pricey, so be certain you understand what you are getting forward of time.
