We shouldn't.

(And I assume you meant to ask "Why should we have faith in something that there is absolutely no evidence/proof for it's existence?")

From Christopher Hitchens: "That which is believed without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence".

You have almost answered your own question.

If something can be proved you do not need faith because the facts are before you. That is why it takes faith to believe!!

Christians who frequently seek proof or try and insist there is proof lack that faith!!!

The same as every religion, it is a leap of faith. Believing in something even though it may be illogical to do so.

Well how do you have abosolute truth that if you pee in your mouth it will taste bad? You would have to try it first right? Yes so why don't you test yourself and search for the truth to see if God is real? Pray to Him ask Him to prove himself, that is what I did and God showed me that he was real. I just couldn't deal with the fact that things are always a coincidence. Plus the holes in science, science cannot prove everything.

some words missing out of this question ??

absolutely no EVIDENCE for it's ... ???
Because it helps people to feel better.

Do you have faith in the absence of evidence that god does not exist ??
Even atheists have faith in ... the absence of god and there's no evidence for that either.
Wish everyone would get over this argument ..
No one can prove an negative. ( that something doesn't exist)

Faith is a cop-out. It is intellectual bankruptcy. If the only way you can accept an assertion is by faith, then you are conceding that it can't be taken on its own merits.

We should be thankful to the creator - the lord of universe.

Atheists believe in Darwin and his theory but don't believe in Truth & Facts; the unique Five Senses, knowledge, wisdom!

There is nothing without Creator.....!!!
