We Muslims are supposed to let confirm the info. before believing it as true.

USA seems trading on the name of Bin Laden, specially keeping him as alive, earning money from friends and its enemies. By creating a situation of threat and fear, so that Americans pay whatever the price might be, to be save from so called land mark of fear.

You should not trust on western media, specially whatever they said regarding Muslims or Islam..(They are liar). Western/American media just want to show the mass what they wants and not the real truth what people like to know.
Western/American media spreading hatred against Muslims and Islam only. They picked up black sheep from the muslim community and the media projects this as though only Muslims are involved in such activities. There are black sheep in every community.
What do you think if Muslim media focus on all the evils only which are prevailing in the western/american societies?

I am sorry to here this brother. I pray that Allah ta'ala gives your mother and the family strength and patience. It can be overpowering to see a loved one suffer and not being able to do anything about it. When you feel like make a dua for her. I want you to know that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah upon him) said, "How wondrous is the state of the believer, all of his affair contains good." So whether we are feeling pain or sadness we are in a good condition and this cannot be bad. When a Muslims is feeling loss then it can be one of three reasons; 1. Removal of previous sins 2. Why should the media be under ANY religious affiliation's control? Why would you trust it only if it were run by Muslim's? Are there not corrupt Muslims as well? (After all we are all human and sin, and need forgiveness by God.) We dont know the facts of Osama bin Laden other than he has praised the attacks of the World trade Center (FACT), which was a horrible day for America. I would not like to suppose, but do you praise those attacks as well? Is he good for praising them? I dont want a Christian, Muslim, Jewish...ANY religion running any media outlet. So that I only know one side of the story. You dont have to trust Bush....not many Americans do either. Why is there so little tolerance here? Why cant we all just love eachother the way God has commanded regardless of our beliefs? It is not for us to judge.

Last time I checked muslim controlled media says similar things about Bin Laden too. Bin Laden is guilty of many deaths. I am muslim and I believe he is a degenerate and is ruining Islam. One thing muslims should realize that not every muslim is innocent. Not all of them are guilty either.
I don't trust Bush, but I look at other areas too.
Then you can never know if you are right or wrong...since you can't trust anything

I think it depends on what the media is reporting but especially regarding Muslims I don't trust mainstream media and try to get information from alternative media sources.
I don't listen to FOX mooooos and other US mainstream media sources....I am not American though! Mainstream media are largely controlled by those who are pushing a New World Order. Yes...as Muslims we must question everything :)

The media in Americ is supposed to present two sides of un biased facts; often it does not. often the news is just about sensationalism and making a buck for commericial sponers... to get facts which are more substantial than blurbs amounting to seconds of coverage which do not included full factual matter on both sides of the story the public must read between the lines of mass media; seek out others sources and know who owns these sources and do research and critical thinking on their own. Moreover, interms of the war we have an effective news blackout due to Bush's draconian policies... we must also keep this in mind.

Nonone should trust the media completely... but then again no-one should trust what they read completely, ie: Quran or Bible etc. They are perspectives on the truth. All information should be firstly understood in the context of who prepared, who is presenting and how out of date the information is. Lastly you must also consider your own ability to percieve with a clear and open approach. OBL is just an egotistical murderer with delusions of spiritual greatness. Bush is just doing his job and would have much rather that 9/11 hadnt happened so he didnt have to send people to try and create a stable middle east.

Yes, even still, his actions do not justify anything.
Osama probably is just as bad, if not even more.
I agree that we need to hear both sides, but what was gained out 9/11 and other incidents is the death of many inoccent lives who had to pay the price. One may not agree with Bush but that does not mean Osama can create terrorism, especially in a form that at times contradicts his own faith.
