If you only believe in God and never practice what you preach, why should you go to heaven?
People are put in circumstances that sometimes prevents them from having the opportunity to fully explore a belief in God. There are probably people in places around the world that have never heard of Jesus or God. There are some incredibly amazing people that do great acts of charity that dont believe in God, does none of their good deeds mean anything to a fair and loving God?
Actions speak louder than words. We will be judged according to our knowledge and how we acted on that knowledge. Faith without works is dead. You cannot sin in ignorance.

You refuse to believe in *thousands* of gods. The only one you think is real is the one mommy and daddy told you was real. Coincidence?
What if the god that really exists sends all good people to heaven and all bad people to hell except people who pretended to know for a fact another god existed? then all good atheists are going to heaven but YOU ARE GOING STRAIGHT TO HELL. Why not repend when you still have time? Why risk eternity in hell?
And how can you worship a sadistic god that tortures good people - most of the people who ever lived - for all eternity?
Pascal's wager:
"If god exists, it's infinitely better to believe, since you get heaven instead of hell for eternity. If he doesn't, it doesn't matter since you're dead anyway. So overall it's better to believe"
This is, of course, false.
Some of the problems with the argument:
* The implied assumption that god may exist (with a 50% probability, no less!)
* The assumption that there is an afterlife with a heaven and hell
* The assumption that the god cares about belief in him/her above all else
* The assumption that if you believe in a god, it will definitely be the same god that actually exists.
* The assumption that you lose nothing if it's false. You have lost a great deal, from time praying to a nonexistent entity (some people pray several hours a day!!!) to morality (your god may ask you to hurt other people) and much more besides.
* The assumption that people can believe in something simply because it benefits them. Would you believe goblins exist for twenty bucks? Why not?
* The assumption that any god won't see through the "believing just to get into heaven" ploy.

Ah! If I refuse to believe in god it means that I do not believe in god and therefore do not believe in a heaven or a hell so your statement is not valid.

Why do you? Because you believe, or because you live a good and noble life in the footsteps of the Christ? I would go with only the latter case being truly deserving. Only someone who has become Christ-like in their lives would be deserving of that fate. One should not receive a reward just because one states a belief.
The rest of us? Well, we'll just get along with our own beliefs and accept what may come - living as good a life as possible in the mean time. If your god were to condemn me for that, then I would hold such a deity in contempt anyway.

Those who refuse to believe in God while on the earth will have no place in heaven, for they have no reward waiting for them there. The bible tells us to store up treasures for ourselves in heaven, but nonbelievers can not store their treasures in have, for they have not account in heaven as Christians do. †

Why shouldn't you? If it exists and god is loving then surely you should. I mean, I would show hospitality to someone I did not know who turned up and had not known I existed. I would not bury them in the garden and then stoke coals on top of them. But if I turn up at heavne's gate then I get burned in Hell?
This version of reality says a lot about your god. It says he is a sadistic and vindictive monster. I count not one single person among my friends who would be remotely that cruel under ANY circumstances.
Thank goodness he does not exist.

if you refuse. this is whats going to happen
How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?
Proverbs 1:22
Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.
Proverbs 1:23
Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;
Proverbs 1:24
But ye have set at naught all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:
Proverbs 1:25
I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;
Proverbs 1:26
When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.
Proverbs 1:27
Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:
Proverbs 1:28
For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:
Proverbs 1:29
King James Version

errr... who are you directing this question to? Atheists? Because in that case, we don't even believe in heaven or hell or God, so how can we believe that we're going to heaven or hell or anywhere supernatural. When i die, i'll be lying 6 feet underground in a wooden case, and not in some floaty spirit land..
so, i don't really see the point you're trying to make.

The better question would be "would I want to" and the answer is a resounding "no".Heaven is a bribe to believe and I don't accept bribes from religion pushers.
