Please, answer honestly. You are there to help, and the question is there to see if you can help. Don't apply just for a job, apply because you care about people on the other line.

This is such a great question. Today I am handling the pressure of working as a debt collector by staying home.

High pressure jobs require lots of rest and relaxation and lots of exercise. I worked out on my stationery bike for an hour while watching the move 'there's something about mary.' I worked my a** of while laughing(mao)...

In all seriousness , my answer would be to keep personal and professional goals in check, I handle the pressure by taking extremely good care of myself physically, mentally and emotionally. I exercise, eat right and remain honest with myself about my needs.

In all honesty, I've had this job for ten years + and today I am updating the resume in hopes of changing directions. Toodles and good luck! Choose well.

I work in a high pressure job so I hope I can be helpful. I can manage pressure for a while, but once it reaches a certain point I feel I have to manage the situation. I work in health care and often work in a laboratory alone. When I start getting requests and demands from every direction then I must start prioritizing patients and situations and communicate with doctors and nurses what's going on with their patients. Sometimes they don't like what they hear, but you have to prioritize the most sick. For a call center you may want to tell them that you simply try to manage the pressure through communication and organizing the situation until it becomes manageable again. Tell them you will ask for help if necessary.

Best Wishes!

Say: "People tell me I handle it very well; I like to think of pressure/ stress as a challenge." Then give a true example in which you handled pressure in a profession setting. Remember to dress conservatively and talk; don't just give short answers.

I don't handle it. I deal with things by not dealing at all. I guess that works best for me.

Possibly an expected answer would be to do the things that you enjoy, like maybe taking a nice long bath or listening to music. I get distracted easily so even when I'm really up to my neck in homework or events, I'll probably get sidetracked into something more fun and I'll forget about all the stuff. I tend to blow things off too =x Like now, I'm supposed to be doing my homework but what the heck.

Myself, I give it to God in prayer, but the test your going to take won't want to hear that.

So, before I found God, I thought of a beautiful place that I enjoyed away from others and I would go there in thought and what pressure were we talking about again? Did this while working at several jobs, the bosses always loved my work.

Hope it helps.

Aside from what I personally do to handle pressure: the interviewer will probably want to hear something like, "I just keep doing my job to the best of my ability. No matter what comes my way, I stay focused and work hard."

A job is doing things. If you can keep your self busy & get the things done that are expected of you you are well on the way to being a good worker. If the boss always seems to be on you to get things done you may not be picking up on just what your job or duties are. It may be that you don't show incentive & wait to be told every thing you do. If you under stand the importance of the different tasks you do & you are able to do the important things in a timely fashion, & don't wait to be told what to do next you will soon find that the boss will be spending less time ranting on you.

You handle pressure by not panicking. Take a deep breath and try to think logically and apply what you have learned.

I handle pressure by taking in a 3 long breath and just calm down for a while. Drink a cup of water and relax my mind for a while. I do believe pressure is necessary for me to improve myself because it lets me to push myself to serve my job better

Reply to the question that you would focus on staying calm and collected while trying to deal with the call. Politeness rules in any situation such as you describe (working in a call center).
