Don't you guys realize Christianity isn't the only religion in the world, and just because it doesn't pertain to your religion doesn't mean you should bash it. I just read a question about someone asking about Wiccan and all you people did was say it was against God! SAVE IT and answer the question or don't bother.

CHRISTIANS HERE IS A NEWSFLASH: YOU ARE NOT THE CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE.

Don't be judgmental, give the people some information if thats what they are looking for.

every question i have read so far has been a christian telling someone else their question is wrong.

i don't deny that atheists are bashing christians, but i can tell you that atheists don't have to adhere to a nonjudgmental attitude, whereas christians are supposed to by their own religion. granted no one is perfect, but i see it far too often for me to be convinced of any 'devout' christians on this board. instead, they're just prostelytizing

okay yes it's a religion board, so shouldn't people be allowed to talk about their lack of belief in a religion? since it doesn't specify whether or not you have to believe in a religion to post?

why not just let the non believers post what they want and i blanketed it to christians as a general statement BECAUSE of this. look at all the christians getting upset, comparatively. as a general statement, christians do overrun the religion board. if there are more of you, shouldn't the religion board be a safe place for people to express their opinions whatever they may be.. and christians are to accept them with understanding instead of harsh words and reprimands?

You have a good point. But you have to remember that the Christian faith teaches that theirs is the only "true" faith. Because of that one point being pushed repeatedly, they come to think of it as true. With that, they take it out of their church, and put it into the world, verbally (and in written form on the net) degrading others, and mocking their beliefs.

And, as one person pointed out, those that are not Christian tend to down talk and mock the Christian ways. This is true, but it is only retaliation for all of the same and worse that they (we) have personally taken.

Case in point: I wore my pentacle into a church where they had a bi-weekly food bank. I was asked to remove it prior to entering. Then, upon my refusal, I was mocked, riticuled, and forbidden to purchase food that was for sale at the food bank. Now, was that helping those in need as the Bible says?

I see the conflict/problem after reading your question and all these posts. I think the reason why Christians come off as defensive is because your question isn't worded in the best way and lacks respect, so maybe that's why it offends Christians. And yes, I agree that there are plenty of "religions" in the world. But what's the whole purpose? If there are so many, which one is "right"? And how would we know which one will lead us to heaven? Why do you think Christians are the ones so quick to defend their faith? I'm a Christian and I do that because I know that my God (the only God) is a living God, and he still works in people's lives today. He still makes miracles happen. And perhaps one miracle that you could ask him for is for him to show himself to you. And let me ask you this...truly what is wrong with Christianity? Yes, I said Christianity, not Christians. Do you find it annoying ..does it bother you? I'm asking this because I know some people who are very anti-Christian and I just want to know why. And to answer your question, it might seem like Christians "take over the religion and spirituality board" because Christians take the effort to share their faith; they care for others and where they'll end up after this life. Whether you think Christianity is right or wrong, try to look deeper and see that their motives aren't evil. Their heart is in it. And like I mentioned, Christians aren't perfect. They've done abominable thing in God's eyes too, myself included. And they do not have the right to judge. That's God's job.

Christian means "Christ like" and we are to pick up and spread the Gospel or Good News where Jesus left off. In all of the other religions Jesus is the only one not in the grave. He was resurrected and sits with the Father in Heaven.

For those claiming to be Athiests, I pray for you, you are so mislead; even the devil know there is a GOD. Satan lived with GOD as His favorite until he sinned and was cast out of heaven. The devil knows Jesus and the Bible but that wont get him into heaven as well as any other non believer. Entrance into heaven requires a personal relationship with GOD's son, Jesus Christ and He is the only way.

GOD is love and He loves His children but He will not allow sin of any kind to enter into heaven. There are no ratings on sin; sin is sin.

According to national polls, America is 86% Christian and all the others fall into the remaining 14%. It's about time Christians stood up and spoke.

I agree totally with RABS!

And...lets be honest here...Christians aren't the only ones answering questions with their own beliefs.
I'm a Christian and I've gotten bashed quite a bit. In fact I've gotten nasty e-mails from people on more than one occasion so don't make a blanket statement about Christians when it comes at us from other directions too.

A little hypocritical for you to tell us not to be judgmental don't you think? Especially after your center of the universe statement.

No...I'm not the center of the universe. That would be God.

You're new here so you have no idea that among us Christians, Athists, Wiccan and who ever else, there is a well oiled balanced way of doing things. To day the Christians bash, tonight the Athists, and so on.

Maybe you need to Adjust or go back to Polls & Surveys or Etiquette or even diet & Fitness and let us continue on with God's will.
:>)
God Bless You

BY THE WAY: I SEE BY THE ANSWERS TO THIS QUESTION THAT WE CAN (ALL) AGREE ON SOME THINGS.

Yes, they realize that. They also realize that one can answer whichever questions they choose, in whichever way they choose to.

People from all sides answer questions with replies like that. Atheists do it, on questions addressed to Christians. I've had it happen. Truthfully, the only group that DOESN'T seem to do it (as much) is the Wiccans/pagans. But there are a few of those who are just as rude as anyone else.

As for me, I only answer those questions addressed to people of other religions if I have something to add. Take a look at one of my last best answers:

But not everyone will do that, nor do they have to. Freedom of speech and all that.

Have you read the bashing of christians by a lot of atheists in here? Given what a tiny minority they are in the world, statistically I would say atheists are in much greater proportion in this forum.

Majority of the western world is Christian, whether you agree with them or not, so naturally there would be mostly christians on a chat forum like this.

Why do you only direct this at christians? There are plenty of atheists and wiccans that never answer the question and just choose instead to bash the christian questioner. Your bias is showing.

Why do people always think christians cant make judgements???? And why dont atheists have to hold to not being judgemental when their biggest complaint with christians is that christians are judgemental????
I absolutely agree that there are pious obnoxious christians out there that just like to say how everyone else is wrong. But I think you need to look at your question again. You arent directing it at those people. You are directing it to ALL christians. If that is the standard then I see no reason not to direct your comments to all wiccans and atheists that bash just as much and judge just as much. Your standards between the 2 just arent consistent.
Lets not forget that many many many non christian questions, if you can even call them questions at times, are only an attempt to mock christian beliefs. Those questions should be condemned and judged and called out for what they are.

Your logic makes NO sense. You claim your argument is justified because look, christians are the ones getting upset at a question that specifically bashes on christians????? How does that justify anything. Are you expecting christians to thank you for bashing on them? Again, explain to me how your entire argument cant be applied to any other group that bashes christians? Or at least be honest and admit you have a bias ONLY against christians!

Wow, I find it HILARIOUS, that you typed judgements as if you are laughing at people judging you giving the fact that your entire question and point of it was to judge christians and what you think is their incorrect behavior. You are the epitomy of hyppocrite my friend.

Actually you're incorrect and misleading people! It isn't that the religion and spirituality board is taken over by Christians the fact is that there a lot of the questions directed at Christians or regard Christian beliefs! The other unfortunate thing about these boards is that it also contains a lot of Christian bashing by non-Christians......At the end of the day, and it will happen! Our days will end (Fact!) I will be with my (Christian) God! The one and only true God!! (Fact!)

Get it right!

Yes, we realize that there are more religions than Christianity out there. We are just a bunch of people who like talking about the one true God.

It might grate against your nerves to see that, but it's the truth. Why wouldn't those who REALLY knew God want to talk about Him, especially when He told us to bring the Gospel? We are just doing what He gives us the motivation to do.

I'm Christian. but I don't reply to questions that are addressed to Wiccans, pagans, Muslims, etc. not because I don't have opinions about those beliefs, but because I don't claim to be an expert on those beliefs.

I am aware that Christianity is not the only religion in the world, and no we are not the center of the universe - Jesus Christ is, but not us.
