Not a good idea to give laxatives to animals, there could be an obstruction which is causing the constipation, the Ex-lax could cause serious problems and possible bowel perforation if theirs a blockage, she should seek veterinary help for the dog, human drugs are for humans as they state.

There must be a reason why the dog hasn't had a bowel movement in four days. The dog could have an obstruction and should really be checked out by a Vet. This is way too long for a dog to be constipated.

You could try adding some raw vegetables to the dog's diet. This might do the trick. I definitely don't think ex-lax is the answer. It isn't really safe to give dogs medicines for humans.

Check the dog's diet. There may not be enough oil in the food for instance. I personally think, without knowing the full circumstances, that there could be an obstruction, e.g. a large piece of bone or something else it has swallowed which is preventing the food from passing into the lower intestines.

Please get your Mother to have the dog looked at by a Vet.

Well the dog probably has an obstruction that may be now puncturing the colon and she has also poisoned him... Time for a trip to the emergency vet!

I think it's time you brought your dog the see a vet. Besides the fact that he isn't pooping, ex-lax could potentially be dangerous to him, because it is a dose and concentration designed for humans...Please don't wait any longer. Get him there asap!

I wouldn't give my dog ex-lax.. Sugar and chocolate.. There are far better ways to deal with constipation than ex-lax.. Plus you should be sure she is constipated before you treat for it.. It might be something else..

If you got her more exercise, fresh clean drinking water and fed a good quality kibble, you wouldn't even have this problem.
