Keep checking his poop, to make sure that it has passed (I know! EW! It's very important, tho.) If he shows any symptoms that it is caught inside him; vomiting, lack of appetite, stomach pain, unexplained lethargy, then please take him straight to the vet...I hope you find that necklace down the sofa or something! LOL!

He will probably be just fine. Most of the time things that little pass on their own, but you need to keep an eye on him for the next several days (or weeks.) If he
-- stops eating and drinking
-- vomits a lot
-- stops pooping
take him to the vet, and don't put it off even if you have to find an emergency night vet. A dog only has a few days maybe to live if his digestive tract is blocked, and every hour increases the chances of infection and damage to the internal organs.

puppies sometimes eat the weirdest stuff. but you should check in his poop to see if the necklace comes out. if he doesnt do his business, he could be having problems with that necklace and you should take him to the vet. also if he starts throwing up and acting like his stomach is bothering him you should take him to the vet.
usually though puppies are fine. so just keep an eye on him.

He'll probably pass it thru as it's so small, unless there are sharp edges. LOL.
I'm so sorry but it reminds me of my dog eating my daughter socks. That is scary cuz we weren't sure Why he wouldn't eat (for 2 days) and then pucks up this thing, that was finally recognize as her sock. From that point on she made sure her room was picked up daily. still lol
The crazy things dogs will swallow??????

He may pass it, but it could stay in there and cause some discomfort for him. I would be more worried if it had Lead in it or something like that
I would call a vet and get a professional opinion.

Don't know.. One can only guess whether it might cause a problem, or if it might travel thru.. You can either ' wait and see ' and risk having a huge problem, or you can take the dog to the vet and make sure there is no problem.

It should be okay if it was that small it will either be small enough to come out the other end or it will hang out in its stomach. Watch for him looking sick and if he acts different take him to the vet.

If he hasn't choked on it, then he digested it just fine. It will smoosh all up with his poop, and he'll potty it out. Follow him around, and good luck with being able to dig it outta there. Gross!
He'll be fine.

He'll probably be fine if he did eat it. 2 1/2 " isn't that long, unless your pup is a sm. tiny toy breed.
