I had the 'tombstone' treatment.
This is when the bottom of your bed gets lifted up, so that you get a choice: either get out of bed quickly, or end up on your head with your legs in the air, with a bed to sort out.
I chose get up quickly, every time.
((((hugs))))

Usually when I'm woken up while doing some sort of Army Reserve service, someone's alarm clock goes off and everyone slowly rises from their sleeping bags likes zombies, grumbling all the way through morning routine.
It's a little different during recruit training, though. Lots of yelling from instructors and recruits alike, and everyone darting out of the rooms with bedsheets over their shoulders in five seconds or less. To get out in time, this often meant sacrificing precious sleep to lie ready for it. Would I like to be woken up military style? I can tolerate it, but otherwise no.

At this point in my life AND after having undergone Military awakenings, anyone that tries to "pull revelee on ME had best be prapared for an old fashioned Military styled tongue lashing. And THIS little Green witch does NOT call anyone "Sir", military style either. I paid for that right with my OWN blood and pain and I am NO longer IN the military, I'm a civilian and have EARNED the right to be treated AS a civilian. Besides, with my background, I probably outranked him any way. LOL

When you say military style do you mean having a blast of CO2 from a fire extinguisher aimed at your face followed by a pail of ice dumped on your face the usual way to wake someone up? Oh and right after ward they flip the entire bunk upside down so you hit the floor regardless whether your still asleep!

However... NO I would not like to be woke up by my Dad yelling "WAKE" throughout the house, lol. I would be sooo mad! I feel sorry for you for having to go through that.

Ugh! No way!! LOL I barely like to be awakened at all! I just like to slip slowly and gently out of slumber. :))
That's so sweet that you convinced him to let you call him dad instead of sir!
