Technically, urine has the same chemical components as sweat but is more concentrated. That's why people who have been sweating profusely often smell like urine. However, I think your child might be a little young for that so I would take the child to the doctor just to be on the safe side. It's probably nothing serious but it's better to be safe than sorry.

if there is a predominance of androstenone, the sweat develops an obvious smell of urine. I would recommend your fiance have a general check up and some screening liver function tests including ammonia.
Occasionally, if the liver isn't processing compounds correctly they can build up in the blood and be excreted in the urine. Other possibilities include some renal problems (less likely) or this could be normal.
Increase fluid intake for a couple of days, drink plenty of water, juice and milk.

An ammonia smell to sweat can indicate liver or kidney problems. Your child should be seen by a doctor immediately.

Go to the doctor not to yahoo answers. it's either a serious problem, or a relativly harmless one, like... it ain't sweat.
