How do you know if you are over-eating when visiting with friends or by yourself? You have so much food available and what are some ideas on how to know when to quit? Isn't it that sometimes it is difficult to stop ourselves? What kind of signs should we be on the look-out for? What are some interesting ways to convince our friends that we have had enough to eat?

Eat slowly. It takes your body 20 minutes to feel the fullness.

Only eat when you're hungry. Not when you're bored, happy, sad, or just thirsty for water.

When you stand up from a meal, you should be able to stand straight up comfortably. You should feel comfortable, not like a stuffed sausage. lol

LISTEN TO YOUR BODY. Remember that for life. Your body will tell you when it's time to quit.

If you're about to binge, go brush your teeth. It works wonders!! Great question deserves a star! Good luck! :)

Say to the friends I feel sick when I eat too much. Or my health is not good so I need to not eat so much being overeating is the main cause of disease. If one is looking to plump then that is a good sign and all friends can plainly see that. so health such as stomach or digestive problems, to much fat on body and if one has trouble waking in the morning they should eat earlier and less at night.

It is easy to over eat and just be used to over eating all the time. The only way I know to make sure that you don't over eat is to measure your portions until you are aware of what portion of each kind of food is a healthy serving. I wouldn't call it interesting, but it is effective.

Convincing one's friends that food they have provided is delicious, but that you can't eat any more, is a more difficult
question. This calls for tact and diplomacy, and some flattery.

I usually notice I've over eaten after I have finished and feel sluggish.

well the basic answer is that you put on weight! just tell them you are full to the brim and couldnt manage another morsal of food and just say that you'll have a drink instead so that they dont feel put out.

check the calories in each meal if possible and avoid foods containing cream or oil. hydrogenated fat is the worst fat out there so avoid this at all costs - this includes takeaways, especially chinese and indian foods.

If you cannot feel the pressure in your stomach, then use your eyes, you can see how much food is on your plate. Humans don't need a lot of food to be healthy and fruit can be eaten all day.
