Now the media is starting a debate. The fact is, Bhagwad Gita belongs to this land! Quran and Bible have come from outside. Bhagwad Gita is as much a part of this land and its culture as are the indigenous Vedic Hindu people. Those who deny this historic fact are either illiterate, confused or living in a dream world.

Okay. It's a part of your culture. Your own congressman insulted it.
One day, I hope to live in an America where our Presidents and Congressmen insult the Bible and the Qu'ran. Well, wait, they already did. Jefferson insulted the Bible many many times. What a great country we live in.

Just because something is old, doesn't make it good. Just because a billion people believe in it, doesn't make it right. This kind of flash-fire response to anything critical of religion is a big reason that India is still stuck where it is. Get over it.

do books have feelings now? no, admit what has really happened: you personally feel insulted. but why should anyone care? do you have the right to feel comfortable about what others think of your beliefs?
