The answer is no. The expression 'possession by demons' is incorrect. If you check the Greek in the New Testament it never talks of possession, it talks of 'having' a demon and casting it out. In fifty years I have only ever seen one person I would have said was 'possessed' by demons and that was in a mental hospital for the criminally insane. Many people have indwelling demons but most are quite happy to leave the matter at that. Deliverance (casting them out) is usually only safely done with those who have the indwelling Holy Spirit - Christians.

Hmm. The Bible says it. As a Christian and a therapist, I can't say I've ever seen it. Don't get me wrong, I've seen plenty of stuff that a fundie would say was demonic, but most often it's a simple chemical imbalance caused by a vitamin deficiency. I don't think that's in the same league as demon possession!
However, I'll keep an open mind.

Yes, a man can be possessed by demons, but it is not what people are accustomed to think. It is not only those who have mental illness and kind people must take pity on them just as on all those who have any other illness. Such people as Hitler, Stalin and Hussein were as it were the devil incarnate. There are " white-collars " very nice people toward those whom they need, but they are beasts toward unimportant for them people. Sometimes people say that they are Christians trying to hide their sins they are committing. Those who don't accept brothers hide their hatred toward them. Jesus was said that He is possessed by demon. "...This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother.".................1 John 3:10.

I know you can be influenced by them and I also believe that they can enter you as well. Our spirits are made of energy and so are demons. Energy can merge with other forms of energy.
I have heard that demons can enter easily during times of weakness with people who heavily use alcohol or 'spirits' if you will.

ABSOLUTELY !!!!! The Bible tells many accounts of this happening. The Epileptic child,the Demoniac of Gadera. People can open doors to the demonic through tarot cards,psychics,Palm readers, Seances And practicing witchcraft the list goes on. By watching evil movies listening to rock music. Anything that you ALLOW before your eyes & ears that doesn't bring glory to God...Get rid of It !

some of the christians on here are definately possessed by demons. Or some kind of evil force.....they condemn and judge left and right. They have no care for anyone but themselves...no care for other cultures or beliefs...they are arrogant....possessed by demons?
