Because so many of them are sponsored by companies who would really really really like to get a certain result, and who will fund another two years of grants if that result is obtained.... Sad but true.

Here's a concept: does truth change? Somebody will say yes, gravity here is not the same as gravity on the moon. Well, duh, but let's keep this in context. Does the truth of gravity - on the Earth - on land - at 1200 feet above sea level - change? No, it's a constant. So truth - in context - probably shouldn't be changing.

How does anyone here know that all scientists are good scientists?

That is unscientific. You are assuming. Where is the study supporting that about 90% of scientists throughly test there experiments and conclusions as well as those of the past.?

The truth is that Global warming has been around now despite the fact that there is no way to conclude it as theory. (something well tested and supported) when we only have 200 years of data on aplanet thats a few billion years old. Not to mention that there are a couple GOOD theories out there about it that the scientific community is ignoring.

Even though "Evolution is accepted by EVERYONE" There are scientists who are athiests saying that Darwin was a bit of a dorkus in how he did things and Evolution isnt all the Scientific "pop" culture likes to make it out to be. Just like there are christian scientists saying that its a decent theory. Hell you'd be surprised how many christians acctually support Evolution as a theory. and there are various religeons I can name off now that do a lot more then support science, they embrace it.

Asatru
Wiccan
Celtic paganism
Daoism.

Not to mention how many people really do think science is valid. If it wasnt valid why the F*** would the television be overfilling with scientific based shows that are raking in cash like leaves in autumn? (House, CSI, various forensic and medical shows)

Science changes on a daily basis. Make that an hourly basis. The reason for such fast changes is precisely because so many scientists question the validity of their own findings.

Their findings are the result of scientific studies, scientists are not too ignorant to dismiss their own conclusions when new evidence suggests otherwise.

A better question would be why religion does not change itself in light of new evidence.

If religion says something is right, religious people automatically assume it is infallible. Science takes years before any major idea becomes widely accepted; we scientists are not blind sheep.

They try to control as many of the other affecting factors of experiments as possible, and probably have no doubt that they have received accurate results.

In the deepest depths of the human mind, no one wants to do so much work ensuring that they get accurate results and find that it was all useless.

Scientists always question the validity of their findings. That's what makes it science.
Why do so few dogmatists question the validity of what they're told?

That's because religious doctrines shouldn't change

God's word is eternal and unchanging

But let science keep changing theirs till they get it right

It's obvious your no scientist. Scientists test their hypotheses before they assume they are true. Unlike religion that claims to be correct despite conflicting evidence.

They do that's why science progresses and religion is still stuck with the ethics of a primitive desert tribe.
