I am a muslim living in the usa I was told the moon was sighted had been sighted in my home country and they had started fasting i.e on wednesday in america moon has not yet been sighted .when do I start

*in india, it was confirmed tht ramzan fasting starts from the 14th sept ..thursday!!!
& idd is to be celebrated on the 14th of Oct.!!!!!

Assalamualaikum dear brother.The starting of Ramadhan is depend on where we live.In Indonesia we muslims will start fasting tomorrow on Thursday September 13.Indonesia and USA have a time difference 12 hours.So I think you should start fasting on Wednesday September 12,2007 since down up to sunset.We are fasting in Indonesia for about 14 hours a day..Salam for you band I hope God will always bless you.

In KSA it is confirmed Thursday is the first of Ramadan.
Even you have not sighted the moon, you have to follow the Muslim community around you.

You can start Wednesday, even if the first day is Thursday, you wont lose anything:) you will gain something =)

if you are a muslim and want to do fasting, you must be knowing the nearby mosque. ask the Maulana there
