There are a few issues going on here that are not necessarily related to each other.
1. A gay child
2. A gay child dating
3. How old is your gay child?
4. Gay and Mormon
5. Gay and Jewish
6. Why does the Mormon want to be Jewish?
7. Are you sure that the Mormon person is Mormon?
8. What are your thoughts on Judism?
9. Is your child and their potential date old enough to understand what gay is? Do they know about Mormonism and Judism?
10. Do they like each other? Yes, I know it is a strange question, but read further.
If they are old enough to make their own dating decisions (18+ years old), then you can't 'allow' anything. Although I am sure you want too!
If they truly enjoy each other's company and are good to each other, then they should date.
In general when you tell a child/kid not to do something and they really want to, then they will most likely do it behind your back. That is a form of expressing themselves and widening the space between you making the decision and your child making a decision. Allow them to date if they are old enough. Watch carefully to make sure they are being good to each other. Good friends are hard to find. Be the understanding parent that your child needs. I am not saying to back off completely, but give your child some parental support even if you have force yourself.

Um, this is only possible if the child is from Jewish ancestry by birth & then taught the Mormon religion & becomes a member of the faith. If you are an active Mormon, you wouldn't be considered Jewish unless you were actually of Jewish ancestry. It wouldn't make sense. You can't be of the Mormon faith & the Jewish faith at the same time. The teachings differ too much.

I've got the feeling this is an insegrevious question. Something does not congeviate. Negative won't go into positive, no matter how much Jewise it's divided by. The desire of money, cannot be duplified by not having sex standing up, because, it leads to dancing, or drinking coffee. I'm left now more confused, than first trying to figure out this dilema. I tried. I'm sorry if I offended anyone. I only tried to help.

If I had a gay child, I probably wouldn't have much of a choice. If he found the Pseudo-Mormonic Jew attractive, then he's just going to follow his heart.

My mum has let my gay brother date people who are complete atheists, and I come from a Christian family...
When you love your kids, and they make those types of choices for themselves, there isn't much more you can do... Particularly these days when rebellion is so rampant. My mum knows that if she stops my brother from doing something, he'll just go behind her back and do it in secret anyway. It's so hard!

The analysis given by SpaGirl is correct. If all responders would read her reply again her answer would make complete sense.
