How long was the water boil advisory?

Yes, I am presently living in China. We brush our teeth with the tap water but we never drink or cook with the water without boiling it first. Sometimes we boil our water in a water boiler (pitcher type) and then use it to cook with.

We have only gotten sick a few times due to water (at least we think).

We do get sick often when we go out to eat and drink lukewarm tea or soup made from dirty water.

Every Soldier or Camper has had to at one time or another. The rule of thumb is that Your water should always be boiled.

Never had to do it, but when sterilising baby bottles they recommend boiling for 5 minutes, so that should be a good indicator.

I've had to and as soon as it starts a rolling boil it's ready for use (after it cools down of course).
