My community is holding a fun day and I was wondering how much liability insurance would cost for one day.

Thanks to all for answering.

A lot will depend on the planned activities and number of people attending. You will most likely pay between $600.00 and $1000.00 for a one day event for $1 million coverage. Hope this helps.

Depends on how much coverage , I would go high if kids are there , anything insurance does not cover you pay , accidents do happen , if you have 10grand liability ,and something bad happens with a total of 50 grand in medical bills you have to come up with 40 g's , I would recommend several hundred thousand dollars in coverage , I have a million dollar liabilty for my job sites due to the inside contents that may get damaged in clients home , I do not have a clue to per day coverage but I pay 9500.00 per year.

What we did for insurance is add a rider to the town's policy for the 3 days of the Summerfest. Maybe you can go to the town board and ask if that's possible. I guess it would also depend on who is sponsoring your event. If it's private then you may not be able to do that. The Chamber of Commerce was the sponsor of our event...it was a bit of a struggle to get the numbers to work out but they did it. Maybe your town could co-sponsor it if they had to.

You can likely pick up a special events policy for $500 if there aren't any carnival rides, booze, or animals.
