Anything that is easy to pick up and eat without utensils.
Cucumber sandwiches: high quality, rustic white bread sliced. Spread slices with softened, salted butter, spread that with slices of english cucumber (hot house kind without wax), spread another slice with softened cream cheese. You can also use watercress instead of the cucumber.
Cut the sandwiches into small squares with a long bread knife.
I like to roll a variety of cold cuts, cheeses, roasted peppers, eggplant, cilantro, olive oil or mayo onto the big slices of flatbread. Roll tightly and cut into portions. Very striking.
If you have time, make stuffed mushroom caps. You can even use pepperidge farms stuffing mix and bake them into the caps of large white mushrooms. Empty out cherry tomatoes and stuff with tuna or chicken salad.
If that's too much trouble, you can brush olive oil onto slices of bread, bake until crispy and spread with a variety of things including chicken or chopped beef salad.

A finger food, called mistakes comes to mind right away. They are a tangy, sizable and addicting finger food.
2 pounds lean beef, 1 pound of spicy pork sausage, 1/2 pound of velveta cheese, and 1 tsp of oregano.
Cook the beef and sausage thouroughly and seperately , then drain off the juices and fat. Mix them with the Velveta and add the oregano in a stock pot over low heat just until the mixture is homogenous.
You could also microwave the velveta until it melts then add it to the hot meats, add the oregano and mix it up.
Then portion out a good amount, (think a heaping tbsp) of the mix onto a slice of mini rye. Don't use the toasted ryes. You then bake them off at 325, for about 2 or 3 minutes to get them super hot and crisp up the bread.
You can also make the whole thing ahead of time except for the baking. Freeze them, and use them when you want. All you have to do is sheet them out and bake them for about 15 minutes until hot and the bread is crsipy.
They are a really good item.
You could always make a basic canape. Just make your favorite sandwich on bread, I'd suggest using at least a meat, mayo, and lettuce. You can use whatever you want but remember the item has to hold together when you cut it into the small portions. Of course you can use a single tooth pick to help on that end. You could also make them with a wet salad, such as potato salad.
Make the sandwiches, cut off just the crusts, or use the crustless kid bread. Then cut the sandwich into about 6 or so square/rectangular pieces. This is another easy, popular, and cost effective item.

I can't help you with the garden foods, but this was my mother's punch recipe.
1 gal OJ
1/2 gal peach nectar
1/2 gal pear nectar
1/2 gal pineapple juice
1 small bottle grenadine syrup
Mix all that up. It's a really pretty orange-ish red. And if you do want to make it alcoholic (though I know you don't) adding rum makes it Virgin Island Punch.

cucumber sandwiches!!!!
white bread (good stuff, no wonderbread varieties) thin later of mayo, thinly sliced cucumber, and i sprinkle just a bit of salt before topping with other slice of bread with thin layer of mayo, cut and devour.
sundried tomato and olive tapinade.
i took PLAIN sundried tomatoes (usually have to make you own, just buy them dry and rehydrate in hot water, store them in oliveoil with capers), one garlic clove, tons of different kinds of olives. red chile flake, salt and olive oil. and wonderful things to dip in.
cheddar dill scones, they're incredible! i use dubliner cheese to make it. it has a sharper more noticeable flavour.
