bottom line....very spoiled dogs like very spoiled children will act like such
you need to assert athority over your dog...YOU are the leader of the pack, the alpha of the house NOT your dog & trust me he surely thinks he is
use a choke collar, enroll him & YOU in a obedience class, let him know these actions ARE NOT acceptable & will NOT be tolerated...seriously try to watch the Dog Whisperer, he's got some very good advice....also you can find a book on Amazon.com or in your local book store maybe called "Leader of the Pack" Its VERY good & has helped me in the past w a very lovable but very spoiled dog BEST OF LUCK♥

you answered your own question in the question. he is spoiled rotten. stop doing that. try saying no and mean it. no one is going to like your dog but you at this rate. find an obedience class and follow through with the instruction. be consistant. say no, mean it. make sure the correction is the exact same everytime. don't baby him anymore. he's a dog and needs direction. spoiling him is only going to make these bad habits worse. if you don't want a spoiled dog that can be a danger to himself and others nip this in the bud right now. when he's barking at other dogs say no and keep on walking. do not let him near the other dogs and do not allow him to keep barking. stop letting him jump all over people. make him learn how to sit for praise and petting. he will be a happier dog if he knows what is expected of him and has rules and understands them. a trainer can show you how to turn him around into a great dog, not a spoiled one.

It would not be a very nice thing to move a new dog into your household with a dog who does not get along well with other dogs. The new dog will be unhappy, the old dog will be unhappy and, as a result, you will be unhappy, too. "Spoiled" when used in this context usually means that the dog is trying his best to be the pack leader, but it's confusing for him because, you give him food, you hold the leash, you do some "leader" tasks, but from his perspective, your leadership is inadequate. You thought he was happy, but instead he's confused and frightened. Step up, give your dog some structure and discipline. Do some obedience training. Then take him to visit friends with well socialized dogs. Ask them to participate in a "play therapy group". Your dog will be better-adjusted, and more willing to accept a new member of household.

He needs some training and some clear boundaries. Clearly, he thinks he's in charge. It's up to you to disabuse him of that notion! Since those behaviors are already established, I'd consult with a trainer. In the meantime, make sure you don't reward his jumping up by giving him attention when he does so.

be the boss. Make it clear he's not to behave that way. He's not allowed to jump on people, and not allowed to nip other dogs. That is what check collars are for. Go to an approved training school /classes and they will show you how to use it appropriately.

Training and more socialization around other dogs.. make sure he is neutered??
Don't give him attention when he is exuberant and excited. Don't reward him for inappropriate behaviour.

Get a spray bottle and fill it with plain water. Give him a squirt or two with a firm "NO" when he misbehaves.
