If I use a recruiter to find a 100k plus job for me, what do they charge me? I understand that they charge both the company that ends up employing me, and that they would take a fee from me too. Is it a % of the annual salary, or a flat fee, or what is most common?

Never pay an upfront fee to a recruitment agent. They have to find you work firsty

Secondly, many recruitment agents charge nothing. For 100K plus jobs, you either have what it takes to get the job or you don't. The recruitment agents should be out looking for you, not you trying to beg them to help you get a job.

Companies only use recruitment agents because it is difficult for them to find good staff, and the recruitment agent will have many people on their books to choose from.

If you don't really suit a 100k job, and you can pay a agent to help you get a job then pay whatever they ask (after they get you the job) because they will deserve every penny.
