Well, if you got the ticket than it probably is illegal. On the ticket it states (somewhere) what the code or law section is that you violated (if it doesn't you need to go to court on that one and protest it). Research that code.law section and see if you think you violated it. If you feel you didn't, try your case before a judge. Go to www.findlaw.com and select your state, the your state code/law section, then type in the code/law that you violated.

I was a sheriff's deputy and have to say I can't think of what they would have charged you with if that is all you did.

Just go to the court date and fight it.

What did they ticket you for, what is the violation they wrote on the ticket?

This sounds like the idiot who arrested the girl for putting too much salt on his MC burger...lol

What a waste of time and resources.

ADDITION: by law the ticket has to have a statute on it to be valid. Just like you cant just charge someone with THEFT becuase there are so many types of theft. the statute makes the charge specific. you could beat the ticket on that alone with a lawyer and most likley without a lawyer.

Here is the deal I would go to court win or lose and make this idiot get up infromt of the judge and say what he ticketed you for. Where I worked bringing stupid charges infront a judge and tying up their court docket was not a way to get in the judges favor. Let the judge see how stupid he is

Was this issued by the govt. or private security ? Not sure about the first but the later is mostly bluff unless the parking management bans customers . check it out the two are somtimes confused . Is there any thing official indicating govt. authority ? In my area police don't even fool with anything like that but there are specialized govt. parking patrols for handicapped calls and the like.

Hate to break it to you, but it happens all the time. You can get a ticket because that means you will be driving the wrong way down the lane (yup, even in parking lots, if there's an arrow pointing one way, you can get in trouble for going the wrong way).

That's like getting aticket for running the Stop sign in Wal Mart's parking lot. Private property, not "public road " It is not enforceable.

Lol...sorry, but that is definitely a weird one. Might be something on their county or city ordinance. I do that all the time, especially when I'm driving our truck. Like mentioned, look it up, it should have the statute or ordinance violation on the ticket.

Get out of here! I have never heard of such a thing. I would fight it. If it is a local police officer, there is a chance that he wouldnt show up and you would automatically win.

Ask for a hearing with a traffic judge or magistrate...
this sounds a little strange.

I would go to court and dispute this case, you would have a better chance of winning this case and getting this violation dismiss without using your good driving record clause

fight it A fight it. I do that a lot and never heard of that. I have seen signs on parking that read head first but on a parking lot never heard of that.
