Yes, and I was stupid enough to buy some in Europe thinking it was unavailable in the US. Came home and there is the sugary rich chocolate wonderful substance on my grocery stores shelf!

I'm not sure. It used to be so full of fat that I never considered buying it. Now it appears to have reduced its fat, either by actually reducing it, defining itself differently or my perception has changed. Anyway, so I finally bought it and when I tasted it for the first time ... hooked. My stepdaughter and I hide it from each other to ensure we'll be the one that will have some left for the next time. In regards to the sugar content, it's not any worse than processed peanut butter or sodas, candy, sports drinks, bottled coffee drink, etc. Besides, each day I try to consume the maximum amount of processed sugar I can to provide cavities, blood sugar imbalances and all the other health problems related to processed sugar. It makes me sad when I think of all the unemployed doctors and dentists there would be if processed sugar intake were to decrease. I feel I am doing my civic duty in assisting others in retaining their employment. I like to do what I can.

A friend of mine once said that Nutella is "the nectar of the gods". I agree it has more sugar than anything else, but who cares? It's yummy.
I've been known to make sandwiches with it, and pack it in my kids' lunches. They love it. Their friends think it's gross. I just mix it in with a little peanut butter and we're all in 7th heaven. lol Tastes like a peanut butter cup. Yummmmmmm.

By that logic a great number of other products should be renamed "sugarella".
Here's a couple of recipes for making your own so you can control the amount of sugar (and other stuff) it contains. I haven't tried them yet but now I've found them I definitely will. (Thanks for triggering me to look for these.)

And for the other respondents who are obviously Nutella fans, I found this:
